Bad Tölz is amazing, such Old World charm, such details and picturesque buildings, lovely views. The bakeries are amazing. Above all, it is so relaxing, so soothing, silent. You can imagine people from the past centuries coming here to have a cure and take the healing waters. It is very charming and old fashioned but in a great way.

Lovely Bavarian city with beautiful city center with restaurants, cafes, ice cream, bakeries and small shops. Wonderful for walks around or along the river Isar where you can just wade in or swim (although the water is cold). On the river bank there is the pathway for cycling or skateing and part of city with spa where you can relax.
For the Czechs: in the restaurant by the church there is the cook from Moravia. Delicious meal! :)

A lovely old market town directly on the River Isar.
A lovely old market town directly on the River Isar. It was quiet when we were there but the Spring/Easter market was just starting and it was nice to see people coming out to explore. The architecture is stunning and the central location of the town makes it a really good choice of base for exploring the wider area. We also had some great food here!

Great small town, very friendly . The area needs to promote itself as a quaint destination. Town needs to explain all the hiking trails and outdoor activities they have to offer. Day trips, multi days trips and outdoor fun.

We stayed in Bad Tolz for the first time during our summer 2019 trip.
Our hotel and its location were outstanding for exploring the beautiful city and the region. The hotel building was beautiful and the staff outstanding. We will be returning to Bad Tolz on future trips.
Lovely room just in the center! it was very quite and the thing we loved the most if the beautiful vintage furniture in the room. It was nothing like outdated hotels with old furniture - you can see that they put a thought when picking out the furniture, it was beautiful wooden vintage furniture and we loved it. The bathroom was very updated and new.
The breakfast was great.
Take in consideration that if you arrive with a car that you have about 3 minute walk from the parking lot to the hotel. But it's not too bad.
I cannot rate this accommodation as we were moved to another hotel due to the event. It was promised a better accommodation but it was only average. Generally there was no problem with parking and the restaurants and cafes in the town were very good. The location is beautiful, but since it is a quiet spa town, it is more suited as a starting point for trips to the surrounding area. You can see the town in one day. I rate it as average, neither bad nor particularly good.
Nice little hotel in Bad Tolz and a good stop option if you are driving through. The hotel has a restaurant with a few options. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way in helping me find a parking spot. The hotel is located in a residential area so the parking on the street is often full. Breakfast was standard German affair.
Clean, spacious and modern room with orignal features. Owners are extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed there with our toddler who greatly enjoyed the outdoor playground, which has more toys and equipment than larger family hotels. Breakfast is abundant and hearty. This hotel is really a gem in Tölzer Land.
Really lovely hotel, it has beautiful garden with the view on the mountains, nice design, painting all around the corridor. We definitely recommend to book it once and enjoy the stay. Free parking in front of the hotel.
Chalet Bad Tolz is a very clean and well appointed spot to spend some time. While there I was able to walk to all points in town for shopping or meals and the neighborhood was peaceful and quiet.
The room and the whole property were great, and the hotel owner was so kind, also for the breakfast was amazing! BTW, the location is top notch, easily to get reach all the shops at the old town!
Very spacious and clean apartment close enough to walk to Old Town Bad Tolz. The owners were very helpful with helping to make dinner reservations and recommendations to other destinations.
great breakfast, homemade food, nicely presented
Sauna area, room modern with balcony,, bright
Hotel has a nice personal touch and is family operated
Staff was friendly
Very friendly staff. Room was spacious and immaculate. Balcony was welcoming with exit possible directly to the driveway so you didn't have to go through the hotel lobby.
Cute apartment on the first floor. Very quiet location and reasonably comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked. About an 18 minute walk to the center of Bad Tolz.
