The property is wonderful, and the staff was absolutely amazing. I flew into Bremen to meet up with friends to head to Wacken Open Air, which is about 2 hours away. I was initially only supposed to be there for a night, but had to extend due to weather. The staff happily dealt with me lingering around asking for late checkouts whilst waiting for the updates to find out if I needed to go extend every day or not.

It was quiet and it was easy to park. We got in pretty late so didn’t enjoy much about the property. However, we did have some breakfast at the cafe at the lobby before we headed out which was nice. The room was pretty chic and modern. I love the design. The room was comfortable. The staff were nice.

Medieval History and Charming Architecture

With 1,200 years of history, Bremen is a lovely city located in northwest Germany. Once part of the Hanseatic League, it's hosted one of the world’s oldest fairground festivals, the Freimarkt, since 1066!

Most of historical buildings can be found around the central Marktplatz. Dominated by the town hall with its Bremen Ratskeller, a council wine cellar with a collection of over 600 German wines, the Marktplatz features the statues of Roland, the city’s legendary protector, and the Town Musicians, animals from the Grimm Brothers’ tales.

From there, you can stroll towards the Schnoor, the city’s oldest quarter with narrow, cobbled streets, half-timbered houses and supposedly the world’s smallest hotel with just one room! One of the city’s major attractions, Böttcherstrasse, a street famous for its expressionist architecture, is also close by.

Walk down the Schlachte, which used to be a harbor and now is an important riverside boulevard with plenty of bars and pubs, where you can sit down and enjoy the beer from the local Beck’s Brewery.

Bremen Airport is just a short tram ride from the Old Town and with the help of Booking.com, you can find many hotels near the airport or in central Bremen.

    Bremen is such a lively, historically interesting city. From the river and it's busy maritime activity to the cool, green spaces of its many parks there is so much to enjoy. Touring the Mercedes Benz factory or visiting the outstanding Emigration Museum in Bremerhaven or taking a tour of the mediaeval Town Hall. This is something for everyone.

    Bremen is quite small with a few attractions.

    Bremen is quite small with a few attractions. It's easy to visit everything in a day. Apart from the old town, Bremen seems to be quite rough though so you wouldn't want to linger. Good point is that it's just a couple of hours from Hamburg and Cuxhaven, which can be visited as day trips. Niedersachsen ticket gives you unlimited travel on regional trains and it's not expensive at all.

    Bremen is a good weekend hangout place.

    Bremen is a good weekend hangout place. Obviously, depends on the company you are with, the weather, and the place you chose to spend your nights in. I would strongly recommend Parkhotel Bremen as it gives you that exact mix of pleasant stay in a great location, amazing Spa facilities and, if you are at all into smoking cigars, a very nice Cigar Lounge.

    Beautiful city. The people were friendly. The Altstadt is compact and very walkable. The green spaces were beautiful, we took a wegbeir to the former moat around sunset and it was lovely. The Wesser promenade and Becks tour were highlights.

    We felt completely at home...wonderful City for doing walks & enjoying the vast array of awesome buildings, parks & different museums. Everyday was a new thrilling experience for us which we embraced totally. The restaurants are excellent along with the other small bars & cafés. At night the "light boxes" have large displays on the front of the older buildings in the centre of town which was so amazing! Getting around is simple as there is the most wonderful tram system. We also payed a visit to watch Werder Bremen which was so magical within the ground, facilities & atmosphere second to none, thank you for a great match!!

    Bremen is a lovely place. Very quaint.

    Bremen is a lovely place. Very quaint. Decaf coffee originated here (I didn't know that!!). Its a good place to explore and also close to Hamburg if you fancy a day trip. Everywhere is very clean. If going of a weekend, I would recommend booking somewhere for lunch / dinner as it got very busy.

    Overall great location of the hotel right in front of central station of Bremen. Lots of eat spots around an lots of things to see. Hotel staff was amazing and helpfull. Beds were decent, but there were no extra pillows (due to how soft the beds are in most hotels and my stomach surgery it caused me discomfort cause it would tilt me flightly backwards in the bed. Although if I would have asked for a second pillow it probably would not be a problem.) in our small room and no storage spots. .

    The location is very conveniently close to the (small) airport, but we didn't even notice that there were planes in the area. We arrived to Bremen by train and the 15 minute tram ride from the Central Station, directly to very close to the hotel, worked very well. Breakfast is excellent, very rich and diversified. Excellent bread in particular! The decoration of our room and bathroom was very cute. Staff were competent and friendly.

    The Nena Hotel Bremen was perfect for what we needed to kick off our honeymoon. It's centrally located, with a spacious room, a great shower, a charming little kitchenette nook, and a beautiful view of the river. The hotel is close to everything, and the two separate entrances—while it might not sound like much—actually made a big difference at night when we walked back from the docks.
