Set in a medieval castle, this hotel in Büdingen’s Old Town features a historic façade and rooms with romantic-style décor. Free parking and a quiet terrace are offered. We expected a room but had a suite of rooms. I thought it might be a bit seedy; it is a castle after all. But everything was lovely. Make sure to pay for a tour of the castle: our guide was an historian with a charming sense of humor.
Hotel Saline 3-Sterne Superior is located in Büdingen, a 10-minute walk from the historic centre and Büdingen Castle. Look forward to stylish accommodation, free WiFi and free parking. Technology for check-in and room lighting. Nice, clean, different in a good way. Breakfast was excellent. Staff was very helpful even though we spoke barely any German.
Diebacher Hof is situated in Büdingen. The apartment has garden views and is 39 km from Offenbach. Really nice house and property (well renovated typical german house) The kitchen was really nice and usefull, the bath also No problem for parking in the street There was also a Farmer near from the house with an automate where you can pick up some food and fresh milk
I lived on the military base in Büdingen as a kid and it was wonderful to return after more than 50-years. Büdingen is story book half-timbered, cobblestone dream come to life. It’s off the major tourist grid so there are no crowds to contend with. Lots a good dining options and perfect for people who want to slow down and get away.
A small walled town with beautiful fachwerk buildings dating from 1500s. Short walks to a number of restaurants. Easy to explore in half a day. Tours are available in the inhabited castle, info at tourist office in town centre.
Büdingen is a wonderful medieval town in the Wetteraukreis. The town still retains is wall which makes a great impression. The town has a beautiful church and a castle. The grounds of the castle are accessible. The majority of the buildings are half-timbered. The streets are narrow and gives you that old-Europe feeling. There are plenty of restaurants. The town is off the beaten path for North American tourists, but it is well worth the visit.
This is a wonderful town with many things to see - unfortunately because we were there on a public holiday some of the museums and attractions were closed. It has a very interesting Aldstadt, Schloss and frog history! We would recommend getting off the tourist track to visit. We had a lovely schnitzel at Hotel Krone in the Aldstadt and can recommend Hotel Saline for a comfortable stay.
