I was disappointed by the impressive Cathedral (in terms of high towers) but which lacks of harmony and is black from pollution. I appreciated the Wallraf-Richartz Museum and a guided tour of the Gestapo HQ in Koln. A great city on the Rhine with lovely open spaces as well as old-town charm. Easily walkable, pleny of places to stop for a drink. My recommendation for a typical Kölsch and somegood food would be the Malzmühle near the Heumarkt. The NS-Dokumentation centre is a very important memorial that is worth a visit.
