An Economic Centre on the River Rhine

Duesseldorf is an amazingly beautiful city. If you like to party it is obviously good for that as well since the bar scene seems to go all night long during the week. I'm no longer into the bar scene I just know that when I had to leave at 3am to catch my flight they were all still going strong on a Tuesday night. Düsseldorf was a a revelation. It is a such a cool, cosmopolitan and friendly city. Definitely take the open top bus tour to get an overview of the city, then explore. The Altstadt (old town) is wonderful linking the modern shopping centre and the Rhine. Enjoy the quaint streets full of cafes, restaurants and shops. On a night time it is electrifying. It is one big party as its 260 bars and restaurants come to life and all of life is out for a party. All ages, all communities, all nationalities all in one human smorgasbord of friendship and fun. Any type of food from around the world is available. So reassuringly human and safe. The city centre shopping district is a shopper's paradise. Great location, rhine river view /walk, drone show, crackers show, fine dining - variety - bakeries, edeka, cafe Madrid, Okinii, ohh plenty of places to eat, clean city, excellent shopping including tax free items for foreigners, nice people, pleasant environment, what, great place for great traveller!
