Everything was good. From the room to the food that we have ordered. I was for a business trip and I will definitely go again to visit the Legoland and will use the same hotel. The diner was very good. !
Located in Günzburg and within 3.3 miles of Legoland Germany, Platia - rooms has a restaurant, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property.
Everythink in Günzburg was excellent. Easy to get there by train. Cosy center with lovely coffee an ice shops and resturants. We stayed in the hotel Goldene Traube three nights. We had a regular breakfast at the Reissler bakery (caffee, brezel, cakes..). We enjoyed pizzas and minestrone soups in Guntia pizzeria- very friendly to kids. Soups, kaesepaetzle, Maximillian's gulash, salats, kinderschnizel and apple fritters in brasserie Maximillan's at Marktplatz would recommend. Ice cream in Eiscafe numero Uno was dream for kids. And Legoland was above expectations: great fun for kids, but also for adults! Legoland was also easy accesable by a shuttle bus from train station.

We went there just for Legoland.
We went there just for Legoland. However we did try one Vietnamese restaurant (Schnell Restaurant Pham) and we like it so much we stuck with it! The three days we were there we ate only at Mrs Pham's!
Getting around the town on foot is easy.
Next time I would avoid renting an ev. This process of finding a way to pay for the charging of your electirc car is a nightmare for those not familiar with how this thing works in Germany and even worst for people like me that do not speak German.

Günzburg, a small town on the Danube has a delightful old central area with a thousand years of history. I knew absolutely nothing about it before, but spent three days on my own to kill time before travelling from a meeting here in the restored Castle - Schloss Reisensburg, on a hill overlooking the Danube, to another meeting in Italy. The Hotel Hirsch was a lucky choice, being right in the centre of the old town, where many of the buildings and views have been carefully restored with respect for their renaissance or baroque history. You can take a guided tour to visit the spectacularl rococo cathedral, and learn why it appears to be joined at the hip to a secondary school. It's a beautiful example of Zimmerman's architecture, with an interesting backstory. Look at the houses on the line of the old city walls, whose upper floors project successively further over the street below, and discover why one of the surviving towers on the city wall is called the Kuhturm (cow tower). For lots more information and relics of its period under the Romans and when it was in Austria under the Habsburgs, as well as more recent times, I can recommend the Heimatmuseum, but it's only open on Sunday afternoons. For dinner I got lucky in two of my three choices. Almost opposite the hotel is an excellent Greek restaurant called Platia, and a couple of blocks away an amazing Italian restaurant called Backstube at Ηοfgasse 21. I wouldn't bother with a couple of others which appeared on the web to be good.

Typical german town with a small old town.
Typical german town with a small old town. Nice old houses around Marktplatz.
It was hard to find a decent coffee/breakfast location. Lots of empty locations, probebly due to Covid.
If you want to visit Legoland, Günzburg is a very good place to stay. Its only about 9 Minutes by car away.

the hotel was in a very pleasant street with coffee shops and bars etc with local interests within easy reach, a very pleasant stay all round.
we ate our evening meal in the hotel and were very happy with the quality of the meal.
We totally loved our stay in Günzburg at Hotel Bettina garni. The room we stayed was No. 6 and it was on the first floor. Large, with a queen size double bed and a bunk bed for the kids, with a private bathroom and a balcony. We like it very much!
The breakfast was good, and the staff was amazing. Thank you for this wonderful stay at your hotel! We'll come back for sure!
This hotel is 5 minutes away by car from Legoland Germany and it is so easy to reach it!
In the nearby there is the Police station and a supermarket.
The staff is very nice and friendly. We had an awesome stay for the little time we (a family of four) stayed. We had our dog with us and found a great little park close by to walk her. We picked up groceries at Lidl, which is a few hundred meters away. Altstadt is 1.2km away and beautiful. They have a shuttle to/from Legoland. Breakfast was a good German breakfast with some variety. The restaurant is open to hotel guest and was standard German fare. We’d stay again.
Everything. Our son loved the Lego kids' room! The owner even have him a yellow Lego box full of treats for him. The location of the apartment is great and in a very quiet residential neighborhood. Playground and pool were in good order. Beds were amazingly comfortable. Everything was super clean. Owner was very helpful. Legoland is just a few minutes away by car. We will definitely stay here again for our next trip back to Legoland.
If I want to provide honest answer, this choice was our last minute and only because it is close to Legoland. But I would not stay with child again. The environment around is not pleasant, some hostel facility next door for workers, gas station next to and industrial area...I believe it is suitable for travelers for quick stay, but it is not definitely family style place. There is nothing around to buy food, you have to drive to the city.
Perfect apartment for anyone who wants to visit Legoland. Only 10 mins drive from the park. The apartment is well-equipped with everything you need for your stay. Kids loved all the toys and chocolate the owner provided. The owner was kind when she showed us around, explained how things work and even helped to carry our luggages. The apartment is large with separate living room and dining room. Highly recommended the place.
My son and I had a great time staying there while visting Legoland. We like Maximilian restaurent which is at the main shopping street, one minute walk from the apartment. There are also many cafes and reataurants within 2 mins walkjng distance. The landlady and her daughter are shoer nice and polite, which we dont find un Germany hospitability industry very often.
breakfast was really nice, served in a coffee nearby. the place was clean, nicely renovated, internet worked smoothly. key handover in a nearby restaurant was very smooth. there is a parking right behind the building. and günzburg is a beautiful city. and if you're heading to legoland, this is surely a place to pick!
Great location for Legoland (5 min walk to the train station/ bus to Legoland), also the city center with restaurants area is really close. The rooms were very clean and we enjoyed our stay for 2 nights
