The hotel is nice and simple, very standard for Ibis - but you know what to expect. Everything was fine at the hotel, check-in was fast the room was clean and comfy. The location is also ok, easy to reach the train station by foot and also to walk around the port area.

Location is good because it’s very well connected by multiple modes of transport that are easy to navigate. The hotel is clean and the rooms are nice and spacious. I wouldn’t mind staying again but it is right next to the RED light district. I had no idea so was taken by surprise but to be honest it didn’t affect the experience much, I still felt comfortable moving around alone at night, but still something to keep in mind as it may not work for everyone

The location is very good. The room was clean. The checkin was easy. The staff was friendly. There was a hard upsell for adding breakfast. The lobby is garish. The room was oddly shaped and small. The view was the mechanical systems. We felt like this should have been a utility closet.

I am writing to provide a mixed recommendation for the Super 8 by Wyndham Hamburg Mitte. While the hotel offered some positive aspects, there were significant drawbacks that fell short of the standards I expect from a Wyndham property, particularly for families with young children.
Positive aspects:
Fairly spacious rooms: The rooms provided adequate space for a family with a crib.
Overall:
The Super 8 by Wyndham Hamburg Mitte might be suitable for some budget-conscious travelers, but families with young children may find the noise levels, limited breakfast options for babies, and lack of Wyndham quality service quite challenging.

With more canals than Amsterdam and Venice combined and over 2,300 bridges, Hamburg is an independent city-state with Europe’s second-busiest port and one of Germany's most popular soccer teams, Hamburg SV.
No trip to Hamburg is complete without a visit to the city’s old warehouse district, Speicherstadt, and the popular harbor promenade, the Landungsbrücken. The best and most popular way to explore the city is by boat or ferry so you can truly admire the stunning architecture and the city’s waterways.
The impressive City Hall and the popular St. Michaelis church will awe any visitor, and music fans should look for the Indra and the Star Club, where the Beatles played between 1960 and 1962. For a different look at Hamburg, moonlit strolls on the Reeperbahn will bring visitors through the largest red light district in Europe. Hamburg is famous for its local dishes, Birnen, Bohnen and Speck, Aalsuppe and open-faced sandwiches with cold-smoked or pickled fish. The laid-back cafés of Schanze neighborhood and barbecues on a beach along the Elbe River are great ways to relax after a day of sightseeing.
The city center is accessible from Hamburg-Fuhlsbüttel Airport and Hamburg-Lübeck Airport using either train or bus services. Whether you’re looking for a luxury hotel, traditional apartment or youth hostel, Booking.com has everything you need for a vacation in Hamburg.
Hamburg was a surprise. It's not a tourist city as such, I mean they have things to see and tour buses, but it's not the mainstay by any means (no tourist tat shops gives that away!) This is a working port town in one part and an absolutely stunning old town/commercial centre on the other.
The retail opportunities are fabulous so this would be a recommended visit for a shopping trip.
Culturally, there are things to see. We visited the Rathaus and Kunsthalle for example and found these very interesting.
There's history mixed with a lot of new and as mentioned, it's a working town so old buildings and canals with new high rise office blocks. Super clean and easy to get about though. Walk or cycle, don't bother with the train if you're staying in the centre.
One thing to avoid would be Reeperbarn as its tacky, full of cheap bars and sex based options (unless that's your plan for a trip there).
All in all, I would go back again. Shopping and socialising in the city centre are key. Go when it's warm to make the most of the abundant cafe culture outside.

The city was a lot bigger than I thought and I wished I'd have had more time. The local people and police force are very friendly and helpful - most speak English. The train service, throughout the City, to and from the main airport is excellent.

Its really a city that seems to have a lot of tourists. The train were easily accessible especially during the day time. We enjoy a park close to hotel Keese. We spent sometime there walking around and sitting down for fresh air, eat and drink.
Avoid checking in late to your hotel if you dont have wifi on your phone. Try to check in when staff are still on site.

A lot to see and to do.
A lot to see and to do. Very nice and funny people, great hospitality. The canal cruise is a real recommendation. Eating and drinking is very good (and not too expensive). The Elbphilharmonie Concert Hall is a must see. Line 62 boat is also a recommendatation, you just sit and look at the harbor from the river Elbe. If you travel a lot with the public transport in Hamburg we would recommend the Hamburg Card. For diner we can recommend the Portuguese quarter!

Although Hamburg was severely destroyed by WWII bombs, this city keeps destroying buildings and sites from the early 20th and 19th century that were spared by the bombs. There is less and less left of what has made this city unique. The last example is Sternbrücke and buildings around it although it was a protected structure!
Great location - easy access to both the town centre and the port.
Room was spacious, quiet, and unique.
Above all - the staff were incredible. Unfailingly helpful, friendly, and professional. Special thanks to the receptionist/bartender with blue streaks in her hair, who not only helped me out on multiple occasions, but had the patience of a saint as I practised my less-than-stellar German skills.
I would have no hesitation in choosing this hotel again the next time I travel to Hamburg.
it's a good price/value combination. I needed to book something cheap on short notice, and this hotel was the only good option: the price was low and the location was still good. the hotel is in close proximity to subway, so living outside of the city center was not so bad...
you can reach the city center/main train station within 15-30 minutes from the hotel.
also, keep in mind that it's not 5 stars hotel, so obviously it's not super polished. but I was happy with the conditions.
Cosmin was extremely helpful from check in to check out! So friendly and went out of his way to help us make sure our flixbus reservation was not moved. Niclas and Harleen were also extremely helpful. Each of them went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed in the hotel (and out of it) to make our trip to Germany as good as can be. Give them all raises, especially Cosmin! Cosmin, add me on Instagram so we can hang out next time I come visit! Ig: anorawallpaper
It's a reliable and pretty basic hotel in Hamburg. One stop away from the central station, with direct trains to/from the airport and city centre.
Breakfast was an "experience", i.e. if you order a deli slice for your bread, they will literally only give you one small deli slice unless you specifically ask for more, but otherwise it was okay. Room got cleaned everyday, location is very convenient, the bar staff was friendly :)
Good location. very close to central train station. It is definitely cheap and we should consider this while rating the facility. Accommodation is expensive in Hamburg and this hotel is meeting minimum requirements. Clean room, private bathroom, WC, breakfast, nice location.
There is no a firm bathroom. only a private/separate place for toilette. Shower and sink is in the room. But can't complain, still does the work.
The hotel is very clean and staff were very courteous and welcoming. The atmosphere of the hotel was calming and the breakfast was one of the best we’ve had at a hotel. We took our dog and upon arrival were given a bag of treats for her, which she loved.
The location is @ 10 min walk to the bus station and was very easy to get around.
We will definitely stay again when ever we visit Hamburg.
Cheap hotel within few hundred metres from the Hamburg airport - a convenient option for an early morning flight.
There is a nice sidewalk all they way from the airport. It is best accessed via ramp from the departure level of the airport building (I mistakenly used much less convenient way from the arrivals level at first).
Complimentary bottle of water was a nice touch.
Easy to get train from airport,€3.50.we arrived late in evening easy walk to hotel from train station used google maps 10min walk if that.
Ibis is a great location to city centre, lots of bars restaurants near by I didn’t have breakfast at Ibis.friendly staff and clean WiFi in room 24hrs free then pay a small fee after.
The location of the hotel is perfect being close to the Hamburg hbf and the shopping area of the city center. The room I was given was a bit older on the inside, but nevertheless it was very clean, spacious and had everything you'd need during a short stay. The staff is very friendly, professional and willing to help.
A great choice for anyone who wants to discover the centre of Hamburg. We spent three nights here and it was a great experience. You don't have to deal with parking as the underground garages are part of the hotel. We also enjoyed a great breakfast on the terrace.... highly recommended!
This is an exceptionally beautiful hotel; there is so much to be appreciated in the look and feel of the rooms and the overall hotel. Very well run. The location is great in order to experience the slighter calmer and beautiful side of Hamburg, but equally walkable to the city Centre.
This former school has been greatly renovated as a hotel. It is close to the metro and the centre of Hamburg is reachable in 15min. The breakfast is great, the staff incredibly friendly. The location is quiet at night, and parking is easy for both cars and bicycles.
The hotel has the old charm which we cannot find anymore in other new trendy, self check in hotels. The staff is very helpful, very friendly and ready to make you comfortable. We had a lovely stay and the comfort made our days in Hamburg even better.
Beautiful hotel, very well located for the train station and the city centre. Room was comfortable and modern, quiet at night. The hotel facilities including the bar and the breakfast were excellent. We had a great stay.
Clean, modern, very friendly staff, metro station located right outside the hotel with a direct connection to the city centre. Also walking distance to a nice street with lots of restaurants and little shops.
Stylish boutique hotel in a quite location between the centre and the port. Very confortable and well thought room setting. Felt really home like. Super comfortable bed and quality bath products.
Interesting location outside Hamburg, but still near with the ferries. I could not cast from my Android to the television set. About 50 Euros by taxi from Hamburg centre to the hotel.
Good and relatively cheap parking facilities behind the hotel. I would certainly like to stay there at my next visit to Hamburg.
Very polite and helpful staff.
