Very convenient on our hiking route. A very large upstairs room with a good view. Our hostess, Annaliese did everything to make our stay comfortable and fix us breakfast in the morning.

The rooms are classically German but updated with new furniture, lights and an enormous shower. The host Thomas was very kind and they waited for me to arrive when I got in late around 11:30. The rooms are huge and the beds are good quality.

Hospitality was wonderful, with a friendly, helpful greeting. Location was great for visiting Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles as well as the Wieskirche. Also good location for traveling to Oberammergau and Garmish-Partenkirchen.

    There are great mountain views around.

    There are great mountain views around. On Hohenpeissenberg is placed the oldest mountain observatory in the world and church. Around the village in close distance are several lakes/seas. Near are the castles like Neuschwannstein, etc. Close to Munchen, for example for October Fest event. Regarding restaurants - we recommend famous italian pizzeria in the village - it was great culinary experience.
