Clean, big rooms but what this place is really about is the amazing food. The chef comes to your table and tell you what fresh ingredients he got today and always created an amazing menu. The house is also beautifully restored.

In the past few days I spent 3 nights in this lovely hotel, together with 2 friends. We each had our own room which was pefrectly in line with what we booked. The owners, Jeroen and Annetta, were very hospitable and friendly. They made us feel welcome and helped us out with every request or question we had. The location of the hotel is just perfect - very quiet, overlooking a valley and just 50 meters away from the ruins of Burg Ramstein. If you come here to walk / hike, you are in the right spot. What was really great was the cooking done by Jeroen. We had dinner in the hotel on two evenings and the food was amazing ! Mind you, there is no à la carte dining, there is a predetermined menu and you can simply opt in or opt out. We highly recommend to opt in though, the food was just great. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a beautiful and quiet location and great food in the evening. If you want to visit Trier, know that it is only 10 minutes away by car. This time I was on my motorbike with two friends but each of us said that we would come back with our respective wives for some further relaxing here ! (Oh and BTW: next to the hotel you will find 5 charging poles with two connectors each to charge your electric car should you have one)

Lovely warm atmosphere and good sized room. The breakfast, while costing extra, offered great variety and was reasonably priced. The staff at the desk and the breakfast room were friendly and answered all our questions, including recommendations for dinner as the on site restaurant was not open the day we arrived.

A lot of people staying here seem to have some sort of mean plan. We did not, we chose from the menu and the (German) food was pretty good, we had a meat and a vegetarian option. We had some German beers and wines after dinner and stayed in a room that was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was excellent.

Great staff.... Jan was excellent making sure all was good. The food was plentiful and good value. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. The bar served Bitburger which is good as the brewery is just down the road!! All in all I thoroughly enjoyed the hotel as well as my 10 travelling companions.
