Just sitting by the Rhine, watching the barges, with a nice glass or two of beer - relaxing. We also love the tram ride (30 minutes) to Bonn, which is a wonderful city.
The worst thing about it is the train ride up to Drachenfels. Expensive and unnecessary, since the walk up is easy and pleasant. Visiting the Drachenfels is truly awful. There are far too many people and the facilities at the top are woeful.

This small town was very beautiful and calming full of green with beautiful restaurants and by the river.
Unfortunately we did not manage to explore it as much as we wanted due to some business obligations in other cities nearby. we realised how beautiful it was only one day before we leave.
Certainly would love to come back.
Altes fahrhaus was an excellent traditional restaurant we great staff!

It seems to me that hiking in the area is not as popular as it used to be. We were here on a beautiful weekend in the middle of May and there weren't a lot of people around. Store fronts were empty and a bar on the Main Street didn't carry wine! That's pretty sad for a town that considers herself to be the Pearl of the Middle Rhine!
The reception was courteous and efficient. The room was comfortable, clean and very quiet, which was much appreciated after a very long and tiring journey. The breakfast was excellent, and served in a calm and very friendly manner. The charges (which included free parking) were most reasonable. The highly convenient location suited our requirements perfectly as it was midway on a very lengthy car journey over two days. For those wishing to explore the local area it is perfectly situated. We would strongly recommend the hotel.
Outstanding Hotel with a vast german history. The hotel is a maze of wonderful remembrances and reminders, perfect views over the valley, very good staff, excellent restaurant and premium facilities. Everything slightly on the old fashioned side, thus enhancing the outstanding meaning for the young Bundesrepublik Deutschland
Loved the chargers for electric cars and bicycles
For its price, I really like this hotel! The room is so spacious, big bed, clean linens, hot water in the bathroom, and easy check in/check out process! It’s a bit far from the city but there’s a direct bus (bus stop is 2 mins walk from the hotel) to Bonn HBF that will take 40mins — but you wont mind it because of the scenic road, which I personally find quite relaxing!
Spacious apartment in a quiet location. Parking in front of the door. It's about 900m to the tram stop, but it's a quick drive into Bonn. Nearest supermarket is about a 10 min walk away, but it's easy to drive to and has parking. The bed in our room was remarkably comfortable. Nice walks nearby in the woods. We will plan to stay here again on our next trip to Bonn.
This is one of the best hotels in Germany and this was our second stay here. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean. Breakfast is an experience you don't wanna miss. We set aside a couple of hours just to enjoy the buffet and the view. We opted to visit Köln and Bonn but there are several hiking trails around the hotel you can explore.
The host is very hospitable and helpful. The apartment is clean, quiet, spacious and well equipped. Even mobile charger is prepared by the host. The internet is fast. Check-in and check out are extremely easy and flexible. In addition, the environment is very picturesque. We will definitely book the apartment again the next time we visit Bonn.
Ease of arrival procedure, parking, and check-in.
Great quality of breakfast. Rooms are impeccable, and the Rhine River view is breathtaking. Staff will provide for any extra requests. Good quality room dining. A couple of minutes from sightseeing or boat trips. The hotel has a great history with heads of state residing.
Like i am traveling a lot by work, have possibility to compare many hotels, this one was very nice. Welcoming, very kindly and friendly attitude with clients. Perfect location in centre of the city. The room with very comfortable bed, nice interior. Will come back for next trip to this hotel definitely! ☺️
The property was easily accessible and relatively close to the train/bus stations, direct trains to Bonn central. The place has a well equipped kitchen, quiet and in a very safe area. Ideal for long-term stay with a shop nearby and wonderful walks. The host was very nice and receptive to my few requests.
Beautiful, comfortable, very well equiped apartament located in quite place in peryphery of Bonn and very well conected with city.
There is free and safe parking in front of the house.
The host is very kind, helpfull and friendly.
My warm recommandation for this apartment.
The rooms were beautifully redone, with beautiful pieces of furniture. The hotel offered a wonderful breakfast, as well as a bar for the evenings. The staff was helpful and kind. Definitely recommended!
It is a hotel Ibis budget close to the motorway. Ideal for having a break during a road trip: this was my main purpose.
The staff is very welcoming and provide all the details. They speak English.
Location was great … at the start to many tracks. Reception provided a place for our bikes. Hotel was very attractive. Breakfast was plentiful with good breads, meats, cheeses, drinks and cereals
The staff is amazing. The hotel structure is fantastic. The gym is incredible for a hotel. The room is well equipped, the bed is very comfortable and ar conditioner works properly.
Well kept small hotel with a lot of character, beautiful decor and friendly service. Cafe/restaurant serves an interesting selection of German/French dishes, beer and cidre.
