Park Plaza Nuremberg

Hotel in Mitte, Nuremberg

Park Plaza Nuremberg occupies a prime position in front of the 19th-century Nuremberg Main Station and is a stone’s throw from motorways connecting neighboring German and European cities as well as... The hotel is situated in the city centre, in front of the Main Railway Station. Everything is easily accessible on foot. The staff was friendly and helpful. We received a room which we didn't like and they gave us another much better one without problems. This one was comfortable, clear and very clean. The breakfast is very good. The wifi connection was also fast. If you come by car, there are reserved places for the hotel on the 2nd floor of the garage of the Railway Station, therefore the parking is also easy.

Sorat Hotel Saxx Nürnberg

Hotel in Mitte, Nuremberg

This hotel is located on the central market square in the heart of Nuremberg’s Old Town district, where the annual Christmas Market is held. I can not rave enough about this hotel! It's in such a perfect location for the Christmas Market. We had room 502 that had a direct view onto the market - absolutely amazing. The staff was all super helpful (they helped us print our train tickets and were a pleasure to work with during checkin and checkout). The coffees are delicious and the rooms are clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom has a nice shower and everything that you need. Would definitely stay here again!

FAQs about hotels in Nuremberg

A Grimm Fairytale

Although known for the Nuremberg Trials, this Bavarian city has a stunning medieval core of cobbled streets and half-timbered buildings that wouldn’t look out of place in a fairy tale. Sitting above this is the castle, one of the most important in the Holy Roman Empire. Take the steep walk up here for fantastic old town views.

Hauptmarkt square in the old town is home to an unusual-looking church and a Gothic fountain, spectacularly lit during the annual Nuremberg Christmas markets. Selling everything from wooden toys to lebkuchen (gingerbread), these are widely considered the best Christmas markets in Germany.

Other attractions in Nuremberg (Nürnberg in German) include the Germanisches Nationalmuseum, the country’s largest museum of culture and art. Another highlight is the Heilig-Geist-Spital, a medieval hospital by the Pegnitz River.

A word must also be said about its relationship with Nazism. On the south-east corner are the immense Nazi Rally Grounds and Party Congress Hall, built in appropriately domineering fashion. The excellent Documentation Center here is a sensitive and unbiased portrayal of life under Hitler. It is also possible to visit the courtroom where the war trials were held.

Before leaving your Booking.com apartment, hotel or hostel to go to Nuremberg Airport, don’t forget to try the spicy local sausage!
