Breakfast was included and was terrific. By the way the entry on Booking.com said to e room had a double bed. It turns out that this was not an American double bed (which is barely big enough for two) but two twin beds pushed together and so more like a king. The staff were really friendly.

The staff were very helpful and kind and always trying to help us with the kids needs. The breakfast was pretty good with a nice variation. The wellness area looks pretty new and well maintained and we enjoyed using it. The kids loved the pool and the family sauna next to it. Locations-wise it was also pretty good, close to the train station and works as a starting point for hiking, and if you come by car, there are enough parking spaces. The restaurant food was also good and the staff there were lovely. This is a place I would definitely come back.

The Hotel Fischerwirt was really perfect for our family. The apartment provided more than enough room for us to spread out, relax and get some much needed rest. The open space behind the hotel was absolutely wonderful, allowing our boys to place fussball and run around burning off all that youthful energy. The playground was also great and our boys made up a fun obstacle course that entertained them while we enjoyed a few biers amd the mountain views! The breakfast was fantastic, a perfect Bavarian start to the day with plenty of options. We especially loved the leberkase! We ate two dinners there probably should have made it three instead of in town in Ruhpolding. The portions were large and the food very good.

Ruhpolding is an excellent location for walks, with beautiful scenery in every direction. There are many attractions such as chairlifts, swimming pool, crazy golf etc ,some of which are free of charge with the Visitor Card. Also, bus and local train services are free of charge. We have been to Ruhpolding 15 times and and have enjoyed every holiday even when the weather has not been very favourable.

I came to Ruhpolding to watch the World Cup Biathlon race...

I came to Ruhpolding to watch the World Cup Biathlon race held there. The town is beautiful and easy to get to via auto or train. My hope is to return in the summer sometime and enjoy hiking and other outdoor activities.

Our stay included a local bank holiday and there seemed to be a lot of families with young children and babies staying at the hotel. Consequently, the pool ares and sauna were too overcrowded to use and there was a lot of noise in the leisure areas and dining room. The grounds to the hotel are expansive and beautifully maintained and we were pleased to find there is a short scenic walk to RUHPOLDING , an interesting town with a good compliment of shops and cafes. The rooms are cleaned every other day unless otherwise requested but they forgot to leave towels when they cleaned. The reception staff are polite but seemed indifferent. The restaurant staff are very pleasant and professional.

We have visited Ruhpolding on many occasions but not for 4 years (covid etc). We returned to find a thriving community, busier (but comfortable) town centre than last time we visited & excellent local facilities.

A great place to escape the tourist rush.

A great place to escape the tourist rush. Plenty of activities in and around town. Staying at a Hotel with Breakfast and Diner included saves time and stress of finding a restaurant and deciding what to have for diner.

Amazing location, right next to a (small) golf course, with the mountains in the background!!!Our room was on the second floor, and we had an amazing view out of the balcony. The hotel is a former 'Landhaus', and retains all of the old world charm. The breakfast spread was quite good. The patio (that's an extension of the dining area) overlooks the golf course. Btw, if you arrive late in the evening and are looking for a place to eat, check out the pizzeria 'Bell Ponte' - that's the only one open after 9PM.

Excellent location in touristically attractive area near the German-Austrian border. The owner couple were extremely welcoming and prepared fresh breakfast every morning. We needed to change the arrival time twice and the communication was perfect. The building is very nice, maintaining a comfortable retro charm. Spacious parking place is also great. I would recommend this hotel to anyone other.
