Had a beautiful stay for two nights at Adler Schiltach Boutique Hotel & Restaurant. The owners Alex and Christine are very warm and helpful hosts, our arrival day fell on their day-off day, but Christine drove to the hotel especially for us, with her baby son in the car waiting! We really appreciated that. We booked 4 rooms for the two nights, all the rooms are very clean, specious and have all the things needed for the stay. The best part of all is their food! Alex is a gourmet chef, literally! The plate presentation, the quality of the ingredients and the tastes of all the dishes are superb, I would say Michelin Star level. The location of the hotel is right in the town center with centuries-old beautiful colorful German old timber houses around, the most clear water streams running through the town, there are even two supermarkets 10 minutes walk away where we got local fruits and drinks. Thank you, Christine and Alex, for your warm hospitality during our stay.

Beautiful property and lovely hosts! Rose and Ulrich made us feel so welcome and at home. The food was some of the best we’ve had on our trip through Germany and France. We loved our stay so much we extended for a second night. Thank you for such a lovely experience!!

The apartment is very cozy, has everything you could think of for a comfortable stay with family. The host, Ute, was very friendly and caring, she has met us outside and even offered cold drinks, it was so sweet! Great Wi-Fi. Parking right on the street, places were always available.

    Nice restaurant options, quaint and welcoming town. Restaurant Jose was fantastic atmosphere and cuisine (tapas). The town is steep, so be prepared with your footwear. Very walkable to trails, and a few museums in town. We visited in very cold weather but had the town to ourselves.

    We were a bit puzzled by this place.

    We were a bit puzzled by this place. The town is extremely picturesque with beautiful houses and little laneways. It seems the perfect location for cafes and little craft or artshops, but there’s nothing there of that kind and the town felt a bit lifeless to be honest.

    Michael was a lovely owner and really kind. I would recommend this hotel for sure. I was bikepacking through the Black Forest and stopped here for a night. Comfortable beds, clean shower. Michael let me store my bike securely. The hotel is situated in the middle of Schiltach, a perfect and beautiful location. Next to a bakery and grocery store.
