Stade it my favorite town in Germany. Very beautiful with a rich history (the Danish, the Swedes, Napoleon, Kingdom Hannover, Prussia, etc. Arp Schnittger organs), picturesque, calm, and close to the fruit-growing area of the Altes Land.

Charming old town with almost alle buildings from 1650 approx. because of fire. After the fire, the town was rebuilt in exactly the same way as the previous town with narrow streets. The area near the harbour, Wasser West and Wasser Ost, is very charming. The green areas around the town are perfect for walking or biking.DortheDenmark - 10Scored 10

Stade is a wonderfully historic Hansa town ringed by waterways. Narrow cobbled streets, mediaeval buildings, modern shopping, numerous restsurants, and pleasant countryside around. We only spent an afternoon in the town itself, and would have enjoyed longer to visit the musrum and explore in more depth.WandaUnited States of America

It's also only a few minutes' walk to the main supermarket, Kaufland. The flat was surprisingly big, modern and clean and had all the facilities we needed. The host were prompt with responses, helpful and very friendly. We had a fantastic time and will definitely book here again. It was over and above what we expected
