I highly recommend this hotel. It’s clean and well-maintained, with friendly staff. The breakfast is generous and varied. The location is perfect—just behind the train station, yet remarkably quiet. Thanks to excellent soundproofing, I didn’t hear a thing and had a great night’s sleep.

Everything was nice. I arrived late because I started late from home and arrived 23:30. The receptionist was still there but from a phone call two hours earlier I knew there are also options to get the key when the receptionist is gone after 24:00. So I felt no need to get in a hurry. Currently the hotel undergoes a major renovation. The third floor, where my room was located, was already shiny new. It even was a small studio with a separate area furnished as living room. As a room at the top floor it had sloping ceilings at the outside walls, but I'm accustomed to that from my own home. Also there were sufficient wall sockets in the room, no problem to plugin two laptops (I had two with me as it was a business trip, others may have two with because they you stay with another person) and your handy chargers and ... but wait a minute: all the wall sockets had builtin USB power with two outlets, one for the older "Micro-USB and one for the new USB-3 (the symmetric plug). Breakfast menu also had nearly everything you could want from a hotel in that category (it's of course not the "The Ritz", so don't expect champagne :-)). The food was nicely presented and besides using the modern coffee makers with a choice of 6 or 10 different preparations you could also have a large "classic thermos bottle" of freshly brewed coffee right on your breakfast table and refill your cup as often as you liked without any waiting. Finally, there was particularly nifty feature with lights on the double bed in my room – probably all rooms once the furnishing is renewed: At the bed's base, which was about 10 cm overlapped on each side by the lying surface, there were LED lights controlled by a proximity sensors. So when you left the bed you needn't switch on any light but all the floor close to the bed was well lit, while no light escaped over the bed, as it would have if you had switched on the ceiling light.

    the hotel is a bit retro style, but everything is clean and tidy. For breakfast they kindly offered to cook different types of eggs, the coffee is tasty and strong, everything is fresh, the atmosphere is homey and cozy)) the staff is very responsive and caring
