This is an incredible Hotel, a former castle, a little of the beaten path. The whole interior appears still to be original and all the rooms where just re-built, all brand new. I also liked the small park. Unfortunately I only stayed there for one night and spontaneously.

I stayed at this hotel some ten years ago and thought it one of the most pleasant places I had ever been. It shows its age a bit now—the bathroom could be refreshed, and there is no air conditioning—but it is still exceptional. Unlike so many places on the Baltic coast, Dierhagen is not spoiled by droves of tourists. If I had more money, I would happily spend a week or two here.
