Everything was wonderful: the surroundings themselves are picture-perfect and the chalet gives great views of them. The chalet is very cozy and modern without completely neglecting the alpine style - a small luxury tiny house in the middle of a beautiful setting. The host was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. You get the feeling that he really cares about the well-being of his guests - you can feel it. Not to mention the nice attention to the welcome. I can highly recommend the chalet and will be happy to come back.

The accomodation, freindliness, Rooms, breakfast, evening meals were all excellent. Handy location for visits around the area, Garmisch, Mittenwald, Walchensee etc. Good walks and mountain excursions, good for biking, scuba diving water and lake activity's. Fantastic scenery, great food & drink, easy to use bus service to Mittenwald & Garmisch Partenkirchen. Go summer or winter, each has its own charm. Walk around the hillsides & stop at Maxhütte for a bier & the view! In summer go to the Wallgau Alm.

At arrival a booklet was received with many walking trails, several ware easy to reach walking from the hotel. Many others could be reached by car or by bus with short distances. A daily diner was available for 5 out of 7 days for guests of the hotel only, with very reasonable prices.HenkNetherlands

The hotel is next to the main (but not that busy) road and guests are all given earplugs. I am a light sleeper but did not find traffic noise an issue.
