Ebeltoft has a central area of old half-timbered buildings and cobbled streets which makes it a pleasant place to be. There are opportunities for long walks and a wide range of activities. Super holiday for families, culture vultures and those who want to relax in an interesting location. Plenty of day trips, supermarkets, events and shopping as well as areas to go walking, cycling or simply relaxing at the beach depending on preference. My main reason for this trip was the frigate, i would recommend any shiplover to go there. To see all details and visit the whole exibition you should plan with a half days time 3-4 hrs min. We visited in winter so this was a quiet time. The main purpose of the visit was to explore the Frigate Jylland - If you are interested in naval history this is well with a visit - there is a small museum next to the ship and experts are on hand to answer your questions. All decks of the ship are accessible. Despite being out of season the museum was well attended, and the museum staff were friendly. At this time of year the town is very quiet, but we could still find places to eat and prices aren’t ridiculously high. The area seems very safe and people are trusting - we felt welcomed wherever we went. If we visit again we’ll probably go in summer so we can enjoy longer days outside.Guest review byPeter

The interior still has many of the original fittings which makes it atmospheric. The staff were extremely helpful to us and just nice people.
