the area is huge with lawn, horses, 2 gigantic pools but only 2 or 3 guest rooms.

The hotel was ok overall for my one day stay.
The hotel was ok overall for my one day stay. The receptionist was very helpful. But Monte Playa is a dump. Poor, drab, shops close early, no good restaurants, only fried chicken and rice. No Uber service there. That was the worse thing of all. I had to get a taxi for my return to Boca Chica which was $70, very expensive. But the surrounding countryside is very beautiful. I do not recommend Monte Plata, however my experience is based on a one day stay; if I was there longer perhaps I would discover something positive to report.Guest review byMalcolmUnited States
