Atacames is a fairly normal Ecuadorian Beach town. A nice, if comercial 'boardwalk' along the beach, the Malecon, and about 10 by 20 blocks of town behind it. Lots of choice for dining and shopping. There are markets for fresh food, seafood, and scads of clothes.
