They were very communicative and helped us get to the accommodation, as well as helping us once we were there. Accommodation was clean and it feels like a very safe place. For anyone traveling from oversees - Ellen asks for a 50% deposit which you need to transfer via a payment service. This is normal for Ecuador and you can trust her :-). The hotel is owner-operated, is located in the middle of the cloud forest, has a pool, offers fantastically good massages and has a phenomenal view of the sea and the surrounding landscape. A restaurant serving freshly prepared Ecuadorian cuisine rounds out the offerings.
