Situated 850 metres above sea level, this spa hotel has a fantastic countryside location surrounded by trees and mountains and bordered by a river. The spa is really nice and the hotel staff are pleasant and very helpful. I went specifically for the thermal spa and it did not disappoint. The Iarge round queen bath was great I could have stayed in there all day
With city views, La Maroma Rooms & Views is located in Alhama de Granada and has free WiFi. Beautiful decor, excellent location and absolutely stunning views. Beds were comfortable and everything was spotless. It was great to have access to a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities in the small communal area. Staff were welcoming and helpful.
Located in Alhama de Granada, La Seguiriya offers charming and spacious rooms in an 18th-century house. There is a terrace offering wonderful views of the Sierras de Alhama y Tejeda Nature Reserve. Nice familie room and good breakfast. Do not drive into the center of the city. The streets are really narrow:)
Located in Alhama de Granada, Casa Isabella offers self-catering accommodation with a patio and free WiFi. Guests staying at this apartment have access to a fully equipped kitchen. This is well placed traditional accommodation that we found very comfortable. It also had good wifi. The owner is helpful and friendly. Overall we felt it was excellent value for money.
Located in Alhama de Granada, El Amparo provides accommodation with free WiFi, air conditioning and access to a garden with an outdoor swimming pool. We highly recommend this place. Hosts, location, room, pool, food, drinks, we dont want to leave. We enjoyed everything of El Amparo and will definitly come back. Thank you for having us Jody and Nick!
Providing pool views, Apartamentos Turisticos Cortijo Garces in Alhama de Granada provides accommodation and a terrace. It exceeded our expectations! Great value for money. The apartment is all new and very clean. Bigger than I expected. You need a car to stay here but then it’s only a short drive to the town and very close the natural thermal springs. The apartment has a nice garden area (shared with the other 3 apartments) and a pool with great views. It was very quiet and peaceful up there! I’m sure it’s busier in the summer but as there are only 4 apartments in total it can’t ever be that busy I imagine.
The accommodation features a shared lounge, and organising tours for guests. All rooms are fitted with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a kettle, a bath, a hairdryer and a wardrobe. Friendly reception, even though we arrived early the staff were accommodating. Good location and very clean and warm (freezing outside in December)
Visited before for the day..stayed 2 nights this time.:still not long enough. Very pretty town packed with history and plentiful reasonably priced restaurants. Amazing gorge walks..go find the 15th century chapel.
A nice town, recommended to us by friends. Easy access for a day trip to Granada which we did on one day. 2 small supermarkets for food shopping and plenty of restaurants to eat at. The town has an amazing gorge and was an interesting walk along the gorge.
Except for walks to thermal baths and the bar Ochoa there is not a great deal to see in the town and transport links to Malaga difficult- shame as there is so much potential for tourism- so if you like quiet and untouristy it is good
I really loved this town! We only stayed one night but could happily have stayed longer. Lots of walks and nature to see. You can also go on hikes and tours on horse back which we didn’t have time to try. At the weekend they do free walking tours of the city starting at 12:00 from the tourism office. We also visited the natural hot springs. I thermal spa was closed until April which is a shame. The people in the town were very friendly! All drinks come with a free tapas which is traditional in the Granada region. Definitely worth a visit.
The gorge is gorgeous. The food in the local bars was superb. Alhama is a bit off the beaten track, which has helped to preserve it from hordes of tourists. It still has the authenticity and charm of a small town. Bar Tertulia Ochoa will be the best memory of our time there. The guided tour organised by the tourist office was also enjoyable and informative. It only cost 3 euros and we had the key to many historic sights that we wouldn't have been able to visit otherwise. I recommend walking from town to the spa. There's a first century bridge on the way and beautiful views.
Stunning town we spent one night here. Two days would be plenty to do the gorge walk, thermal spa and a walk around town. The spa is really an old Santorium - for elderly Spanish visitors. A slightly weird feel to the place but I had a fantastic massage here.

We knew the hotel was rural just as the name implies. The cave room was unique, spacious and beautifully decorated. The Arabic baths were next door and well worth a visit for small extra charge. Staff were really friendly with just enough English. Nearest town about 4km away.Restaurant not open in evenings so you will need to travel into Alhama de Granada. Great value for money.

Very informal, authentic Spanish hotel/bar/restaurant. Used mainly by locals at all hours of the day, but not noisy at night. Room very clean and underfloor heating very effective. Even though some dog noise outside we couldn't hear it in the room. Location excellent for our needs. Food was good.

Spacious room, nicely decorated, awesome balcony. The woman at the front desk was SO NICE and really made me feel welcome even though I was communicating in broken, child-like Spanish. Wonderful town and several great places to eat right by the hotel.

Perfectly appointed. Squeaky clean. Ubelievably fabulous views. The rooms are located on the very edge of the gorge. A shared kitchenette. A hybrid hotel room/apartment. Easy walk to town square. Absolutely perfect in every way.
