Balaguer is a historic town at the base of the pre-Pyrenees with a very interesting Museum (de la Noguera), a Saturday market in the central plaza, and is a terrific base for exploring and hiking in the Montroig and Montsec mountains. There are many wineries in the area.Guest review byGeorgeSpain
