Lovely city. If you like Seville you will like Cadiz. Easy to get round, not too big. Walk everywhere. Some excellent shops and restaurants Some Spanish may be helpful... Not much English spoken outside hotel.
Amazing little city, well worth a visit. I would have liked to stay longer as there were more locations and landmarks I would have liked to see. Unfortunately the weather was very bad when we visit so we did not enjoy the outdoors much, because of the wind and rain.
Cádiz is well worth a visit. We very much enjoyed our stay. Vibrant streets in the evening. Beautiful buildings, cathedral. Shops open well into the evening. Mornings very quiet and coffee shops open later than we expected.
It is a pretty city to visit and I recommend that you also visit the city of Jerez which is only 35 minutes by train or 45 by bus and visit the Tio Pepe bodega. You should resereve a tour which is 2 hours with the choice of tasting and tapas. Jerez is a pretty city too, I enjoyed my day trip there!
A wonderful city and well worth the drive down from Malaga. We're in Malaga for one month on holiday from Canada. Cadiz has one of the most amazing beaches in Spain - it's like a never ending stretch of sand and dunes. But the city's history and old town wonders are the reason to visit and Cadiz ranks an A+ for us. Prepare to walk a lot because there is a lot to see...
It was compact, we walked everywhere. Some attractions need to be prebooked which we couldn’t do the evening beforehand. But it was not busy so we managed to get in. Must get busy when the cruise ships get going to full capacity again.
The hotel is just off the main square and I got a view from french windows and a small balcony of Cadiz life. The hotel is very clean, and the single bed was comfortable. They provide a floor fan which is necessary at night as you need to close the wooden shutters to block out noise from the street. They also provide a clothes line on the balcony for you swimwear / towels. There are 12 rooms that share 4 bathrooms but there was never a problem with having to wait. The staff were lovely and very kind in letting me practice my Spanish!
Cádiz
The location of the apartment is great, right in the heart of the city, walking distance to all the interesting spots of Cádiz. There is a public parking about 5min walk and plenty of bars and restaurants around. The apartment itself is very modern, super clean and comfortable. The hosts, Gareth and Paul are very nice people, friendly and helpful. They take care of every little detail in the apartment and offer a fantastic service and experience for their guests. Highly recommended.
The location of the hotel is directly on the sea side, but sadly there is no room with a balcony. We had a room facing the street which turned out to be the busiest street in Cadiz - the closed windows were fully sound-proof but if you like to sleep with open windows or enjoy a nice view - not recommended. At the same time, the beds only had thin sheets, no additional blanket which made it difficult to sleep with AC on.
Anna is a wonderful host and her flat is a charming place located in the middle of the historic city centre with a stunning view over one of the nicest places in Cadiz. I enjoyed my stay a lot and she had plenty of good recommendations for activities and good food - certainly the best accommodation during my bike trip through Andalusia. Can't wait to return and stay again with her!
After traveling for 3 weeks in Spain, hopping from city to city and hotel to hotel, it was WONderful to have an apartment - SPACE! A sitting room! Washing machine where I could get my clothes clean without spending a fortune. The apartment is well appointed, modern, very clean, centrally located in old town. I loved it. And Juan - the owner or contact person - was very nice.
Cádiz
This was a 5 star service. Paco, the host, was one of the most polite and hospitable person I have ever met. Thank you for the lovely stay! We wish we could have stayed longer. We were welcomed with the fruit basket like we had booked a 5 star hotel. Cleanliness and comfort this apartment offers are one of the best we have experienced.
Cádiz
Perfect location in the very center of the old town, yet not too far away from the intercity bus and train stations (if travelling light you can reach both of them of foot, otherwise take a taxi). Big, clean room. Fast, hassle-free check in. No English spoken at the reception desk.
Cádiz
Very impressed with the cleanliness of the bedroom. Very good bathroom for a city hostel, comparable to city hotels. Great shower facilities. Very helpful and sociable reception staff. All in all, a great weekend hostel with which to enjoy the delights, Cadiz has to offer.
Cádiz
Amazing apartment (no 6) and location. Vittore and Eric were fantastic hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Also very helpful with restaurant recommendations. Being regular Cadiz visitors our only regret was that we didn't find La Casa de Consul sooner. Thank you both.
Everyone from the staff were so welcoming, helpful and cheerful. The location was perfect. It was smacked right in the middle and we walked, at the most, 6 minutes to the Mercado central, best restaurants, Cathedral. and all the important spots in Cadiz.
Cádiz
Very friendly staff Excellent location in the old town 10min walk to train & bus station very comfortable rooms and bed Cadiz is an amazing city, my new favourite. I will be coming back and when I do ill book to stay here again.
Fantastic location! We only stayed 2 nights so the central location near the Cathedral suited us perfectly. Cadiz is stunning and we loved it. The hotel is small but staff friendly and our room spacious with everything we needed.
Cádiz
The hotel is super nice, in the hearth of Cadiz, in a really andaluz building. The room is small, but really clean and had everything you could need. The hotel offers coffee and tee for free, which is definitely a plus!
Cádiz
It was the cleanest accomodation during our trip in Andalusia. we really appriciated that. great accomodation, in center of an old town, with parking area near by.
Lovely hotel. Rooms have amazing views, are super modern. Massive dorma Windows. If you come to Cadiz, you must stay here. Not cheep but worth it
