Beautiful village in the mountains with lovely walks nearby. We were travelling by bus but even so we were able to do all the things we wanted. We were in Caimari for the Olive Oil Festival. It was fabulous -the best thing was the Mallorcan dancing in the square and the singing and the band but the market was great. We also visited the monastery at LLuc - very peaceful. The village is set on the edge of the stunning mountain...
The village is set on the edge of the stunning mountain range of the island. Towards the northern part of the village (the higher streets) a beautiful, panoramic view awaits. The village is welcoming with a good range of bars and restaurants. If you wish to self-cater, there is also a small but well stocked shop on the main road into the village called Sa botiga de Caimari. They stock bread and pastries from a local artisan baker too! If you want to venture down the road I'd also recommend Restaurante Sa Tafona de Caimari, the local olive producer. And for healthy breakfasts, lunchtime treats or an evening a tasty nibbles and craft beverages you should visit Sa Ruta Verda.
