Casa dos Saboeiros is located in Olivenza. The apartment comes with 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a balcony with city... The house has an excellent location. It was renovated recently and has all the facilities we need. We were welcomed by the host family and got many advises where to go, what to visit and, finally, a bottle of wine. The toilet facilities were really very good. Near the house, there is a bar where tourists can have a very good, healthy, abundant and rather cheap breakfast.
Located in Táliga, La Casa de Adela provides accommodations with free WiFi and seating area. What a pleasant surprise this was. This was a last-minute stop-over for us on our way to Évora, Portugal....Everything was brand spanking new! This is a fantastic value. Seriously, everything in the room was either brand new or appeared as brand new. There were games (bingo, connect four) plus a large bag of fresh local potato chips. My wife wanted me to make sure to mention the bathroom because "ladies will be pumped to have this bathroom." Great shower, spacious, a magnifying mirror, hairdryer and some attachment for it. It was walking distance from Calicoa Cafe, which was perfect for us.
Portucale - Badajoz is located in La Risca, 29 mi from Merida. Free WiFi is offered and free private parking is available on site. Certain units include a seating area for your convenience. If you're travelling in the summer, this blooming family-owned hostel might just save your life. I came in from the the scorching heat, parched and exhausted, to find that the air conditioning in my room had been working full blast in preparation for my arrival. In the afternoon, a cool also breeze blows through the fields and orchards surrounding the property (good luck finding that in the city center), so you can actually enjoy some time outside, in the balcony or in the terrace, and take in the views. The owners (and staff) went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed, and they were some of the kindest people I've met. I will never stay anywhere else when visiting Badajoz.
