United KingdomGreat value. Nice modern clean room, a good size and well furnished. The location in perfect right in the centre of Calpe and a short walk from the bus station. Everything efficient and organised. The roof terrace was superb, a great space and with free coffee and snacks available, as well as the ability to prepare food and use of fridge. If only this was more common. Highly recommended.

We had a villa near the beach in Moraira for 12 years (next real vacation place to the east) so we know the place well. We never spent much time here other than occasional visits to the beach because we thought large Calpe was not as great as Moraira. But this place rocks! It has made major strides in last few years. So many restaurants, bars, magnificent old town (much better than Moraira). We walked all over to the west and east, and loved it all - and we were here for 3 weeks. We ate in all the sea side restaurants on the beach to the west of Calpe rock and this id definitely the side to stay. The beach to the east is well worth visit and all the places in between. There is a large Roman ruins area that you walk through to go east (Roman baths and more) - amazing.

I am always aware of the places that I go and how I feel, do I feel comfortable and would I go back... I felt comfortable and we all loved it... I would say that it is a must that you visit the Old Town and go to the local museums, we enjoyed eating in the old Town restaurants in the cobble streets, but we went to the beach front and had meals there... Lovely to be by the sea and hearing the waves...
We went on the tram train bus that does a route through the town (hop on & hop off)... Because of this we found a boat trip for the next day and we liked the idea of doing a 45min boat trip ... They do have longer ones but liked the idea of a short trip... My grandchildren love it... They were able to see the fish swimming ...
We spend time walking a long the beach front there is a path that you can follow and then there are many ice cream parlours and we did go to a few it was nice ...
it can be steep walking around but once you are at the beach it is flat...But we all noted that we got used to it by the 3rd day...
Overall, we all agreed that we would go again...

Calpe is very touristic and is home to many seniors and probably retired people from abroad, which shows that it is valuable to them, however for us it was very much constructed. No parks, no open space apart from the part where they found some reminescents of the romans. No green, a lot of concrete. No pipicans even for the dogs. I don't know where people who own dogs take their animals, but in Calpe itself there is no place for them. It is a pity since the place itself would be nicely situated, with that bay and this beach and the good weather and tranquility

Calpe is a wonderful Seaside Town with plentiful accessible...
Calpe is a wonderful Seaside Town with plentiful accessible beaches, great Restaurants an easy to use Local Bus service, an easy to use Tram Service for easy accessibility to other Seaside Resorts but most of all.
The local people are just so friendly as are, in my experience, the Staff in the Hotels and Restos.

Beach is lovely and sea was quite shallow for a good distance. Water sports available. Beachside bars, restaurants and shops. Nice promenade. Loads of clothes shops, restaurants and bars. Good supermarket. Bus service available. We stayed in the town centre which is very hilly, lot of traffic.

Beautiful old building renovated to a good standard. Our spacious room was clean and had a lovely balcony overlooking the street. Friendly staff. Located in the heart of Calpe old town with some great restaurants very close by. Good wifi. Although breakfast isn't offered in the hotel, they have an arrangement with a local nearby cafe, very reasonably priced.

Great apartment for a family of 4 - lovely views, clean, air conditioning, has everything we needed. Good pool and not too busy when we were there.
We like the location as it’s in between Altea and Calpe and are familiar with the area - you do need to drive to get about.

I stayed here on the day that there was a total power blackout in Spain. The hotel and its staff responded very well to this hugely challenging event. They managed to serve a reasonable dinner and the atmosphere was even quite upbeat. So they get full marks from me.
