La Placa is a wonderful calm oasis off the beaten track in a tiny village that has not changed since the 15th century. There is an excellent restaurant in the hotel which offers great value. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. They were very accommodating on our last day when our flight was late in the evening out of Girona.

The best point is definitely the location. Right next to the train and bus stations, with good restaurants and cafés in the neighborhood, about 10 minutes walk to the cathedral. I was positively surprised by the cleanliness and facilities of this hotel. Everything in the room looked brand new. Bed was comfortable. Reception had fresh coffee and cold drinks available for a small fee. My room (212) was very quiet even with the window overlooking construction / refurbishment site. The receptionists were so friendly and helpful, and spoke perfect English. Overall I had a great stay and would definitely recommend Hotel Bestprice Girona.
