What not to like about it? This was truly an incredible stay. The location is ideal if you have a car and don’t want to be in a busy village. The hotel has a chilled vibe which invites the guest to relax without being pretentious. The rooms were really good, the social area was amazing, and it had such a good breakfast! We cannot wait to come back.

We loved our stay here! Great facilities including the peaceful pool area and outdoor spaces, gorgeous views, and perfect a location to visit must see towns in the Tramontana region. But above all we loved the staff - Francesco was always so attentive at breakfast, the bartender made us great drinks on the lounge terrace, and Jaime at the front desk was always helpful. Two of the restaurants they recommended were also among the best of our trip. We would love to come back!!

This is a wonderful, family run Hostal we enjoyed on many different levels. A very relaxing terrace great for breakfast and afternoon beverages and fantastic views of the mountains and village. We stayed for several days and used it as a base for day trips.
This 19th-century restored house is located in Deià, featuring spectacular panoramic views of the Balearic Sea.

We loooooved the location! It is a short walk up the mountain to get to without a car which could definitely be inconvenient and a deal breaker for some, but we thought the cute terrace and views were most definitely worth it! The host was also wonderful. So smiley and kind and very accommodating. We had trouble getting there due to a bus mishap before 11pm, but all was well when we got there and she was waiting for us!

Loved the relaxed feel of the place, quite a few restaurants to choose from. We had breakfast at a cafe with lovely views, Cafe Sa Font Fresca - food was lovely.
Would suggest booking one of the restaurants for dinner as many had no availability when we stayed.

Deia was a bit more tourist-oriented than we expected.
Deia was a bit more tourist-oriented than we expected. Both during the day and during dinner time. So difficult to find a parking spot, and most restaurants were "touristy" in stead of Spanish.
The beach at Cala Deia is very pretty, but it's also very small so it can be a bit cramped.

Deia is a special place in the mountains of Mallorca. Super walkable. The trails and the beach are super cool and the restaurants are all good. Nice vibe and well worth the visit. Different than anything else I have seen on my trips to Mallorca. Will be back.

The ancient city of Deià is charming with spectacular acces to one of mallorcas most beautiful coves. We loved our stay here, but it is a quiet town with only a few restaurants. The Wednesday market in the square is also tiny. i was expecting a larger market from the reviews and was disappointed there wasn’t more to look around at. The town itself is so beautiful and ancient, it almost feels like a movie set. the people are super friendly. We encountered many locals who knew five languages but only had a little english, so be prepared with a translator app and if you have a little french. most people know that, or german but you won’t have 100% guarantee that you will be able to communicate if you don’t have the basics of spanish. even so, you would get by fine as the locals will work with you until you understand each other.

Easy public bus service to Palma, Valldemossa, Sóller and Port Sóller. A good handful of nice restaurants and a couple of bars. Would improve with a takeaway and sandwich shop but there is a supermarket which is open until late.
Trattoria Italiano, Xelini and Es Punt are my favourite restaurants but there are other more upmarket restaurants that are nice such as Restaurant Deia and Sa Vinya. Haven’t tried Sebastian but is said to be nice for a special meal out. Best bar is Sa Fonda - very cool and casual.
It is a 10 minute walk to Robert Graves house museum and a 25 minute walk down to the Cala.
Valldemossa is pretty but quite touristy, Sóller is lovely for lunch and Port Sóller is a nice resort by the sea & beach. Thanks the orange train from Sóller to Palma is wonderful or down to the Port from Sóller.

Having first visited Deia over 30 years ago I was saddened by the changes. During the day this small hill village is packed with tourists and traffic. There are lots of small cafes and restaurants to keep everyone fed and watered but the pavements are narrow and the number of people don’t make for a relaxing visit. I’m afraid it has lost it’s charm.
Location is fantastic which is one reason why we returned there after 2 year COVID break. Views are also beautiful (if you can see them) Breakfast was fresh & attractively presented. Vicente at the evening meal was gracious, attentive, efficient & lovely. Tomeu on reception at check out (and during email contact) was also personable, friendly & helpful. Vicente & Tomeu are assets to the Hoposa in Deia and good ambassadors to the hotel group.
This is actually my FIFTH stay at the Hotel Des Puig but the first and last stay at one of their Apartments.. I liked the location and the available parking. Wifi was good. Kitchen facilities were good, mainly.......sofa was good (Ikea). Cleaning service was very good. Terrific value for money.
