Located in El Acebo de San Miguel, 28 miles from Villafranca del Bierzo, La Trucha del Arco Iris provides a shared lounge and free WiFi. The bed and breakfast offers a continental or buffet breakfast.... This is a truly heavenly stop. The two women operating this property are kind, caring and made us feel so at home. The house is clean and beautifully decorated. There are so many nice touches including the garden and spectacular view. The food was delicious and the company was even better. When we tucked into bed we could see the stars from our window! Unforgettable!♥️
Surrounded by nature, La Casa del Peregrino is located in El Acebo de San Miguel. Each room a La Casa del Peregrino features exposed stone walls, air conditioning, desk and a TV. This was an excellent place to stay after a long tiring day . The room was very comfortable, good food and friendly staff 😀
Very nice stay. The gentleman downstairs who checked us in and spoke great English and it was very helpful. Lunch was great. There is a market across the street and they were very nice. The castle is around the corner as well as the cathedrals. There is a little shop across the castle that serves burgers and a very nice place to eat outside of the hotel. Clean and quiet.
It's a typical Spanish rural village with all the beautiful church, countryside and traditional style architecture. An easy walk around the village to take plenty of photos and bars to accommodate for meals- highly recommend Hostal Casa Rural del Peregrinos Restaurant. A nice town to stop for the day/night.
El Acebo is a remote mountain village with spectacular views (weather permitting) and fascinating mountain domestic architecture. The paved road in this district, between Astorga and Ponferrada, here intersects with and forms part of the Camino Francés to Santiago. Although we travelled by car, we think we got a good taste of some of the day-to-day experience of the Camino pilgrams, apart from the actual walking of course.
