An old flour factory dating from the year 1827 was totally reformed in order to offer the visitor all the amenities and comfort of a modern hotel.

This is an old converted flour mill and is a bit quirky! We had a superior room on the ground floor which had its own little terrace opposite the pool. The room was comfortable and clean with a nice large bathroom (terrific large shower). The setting is lovely close to the Caminito del Rey and the scenery is spectacular. We had lunch and dinner in the restaurant - both lovely. The pool area is lovely with plenty of beds and it was quiet. The pool was pretty cold though!
Located in El Chorro, La Tienda de Miguel provides air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. The property features mountain and lake views.

We loved the place, felt awesome under the steep rock and above the blue lake. Great for our plans to walk Caminito trail.

We booked the place because we did the Caminito del Rey, and the location was superb! It was close to the South Access (end of Caminito del Rey), and the bus stop to get to the North Access (starting point), which was perfect. There were some shops and a restaurant (hotel) nearby, but if you needed more supplies and dining options, you would need to drive.
The check-in process was easy. The place was clean and had everything we needed. The bed was comfy. And our balcony had an unbelievable view! It's so much better in person.
The hosts were fantastic and excellent in communication - checked in prior to, during, and after our stay. The hosts even asked if we needed anything, so they could bring them to us. I thought that was really nice, even though it wasn't necessary, in our case. They even gave us a free bottle of wine and some olives, which I thought was a good personal touch.

We’re a group of climbers and loved the location for access to the amazing el chorro climbing.
The pool gets the shade in the afternoon and Al fresco dining was lovely.
Richard was incredibly kind with local climbing knowledge and super responsive and communicative.

The pool is a good size and ideally for the hot August temperatures. The A/C was effective.
After 10 (see why further down) we enjoyed sitting on the patio listening to the local farmer bring the goats by, ringing their bells, enjoying some wine.
Good parking for our campervan.

Very handy for Caminito del Rey, only 20min walk to entrance.
Gregori at reception was SUPER helpful and told us the best and shortest way to the entrance and then told us lots of interesting info about the area 🙏

There isn't anything to do in El Chorro, apart from our excellent hotel, there is one other small bar next to the train station and a super market which is a very small shop that sells very little. The train station is unmanned and our experiences with the trains in Spain you could write a comedy series on it, with tickets you booked online not arriving or cancelled the last 4 trains and costing 80 Euros for a taxi to get back to the hotel.
Or 40 minutes late, meaning you missed your connection and then had a wait of 4 hours or return to El Chorro.

Great start point for the Caminito del rey - shuttle buses will take you to the trail head leading to the Caminito del Rey access point. Caminito del Rey ends 2 km away from el Chorrro. There are a couple of other interesting walking trails starting in el Chorro. Parking can be a problem.

We booked room based on photos but got something very different. Room given wasn't suitable for us but for a younger modern couple. The stairs were too narrow no sofa . Lighting too bright and exposed for us. It has it good points with views and using for overnight stay is good but not for a week stay. The walk around was lovely and recommended. Guided tour stats at 9.30 and well worth it. No outside eating places just the restaurant. This hotel wasn't for us but is suitable for backpackers.

Charming, well maintained hotel in a stunning location.
Charming, well maintained hotel in a stunning location.
We were a group of friends traveling together and stayed in a 2 bedroom unit.
The room was totally fine but it would have been good to know before booking that the walls in the unit don’t go all the way to the ceiling (not even the bathroom room ones). The gap is really wide - no privacy possible.

An incredible place for climbing, walking or just relaxing.
An incredible place for climbing, walking or just relaxing. We loved it and it’s so accessible from Málaga. The scenery is breathtaking. Walking the Caminito Del Rey is a must if you’re in the area...I was nervous as I don’t like heights but I’m so pleased to have conquered my fears...it was utterly thrilling. The area is packed with things to do and places to see. We’ll be. Back!

El Chorro is a great location to stay if you are doing The Caminito del Rey as it is at the end of the walk and far less busy than Ardales (the starting location). It is also a great base for walking, hiking and climbing. The surrounding mountains and countryside are fabulous and it is definitely worth staying an extra night to enjoy the surrounding areas. The nearby town of Antequera is very interesting and should not be missed whilst you are in the area.
For the first time in Spain, the owner of the apartment speaks good English. The room has everything you need to stay. Nearby forest and mountains. Fresh air. Nearby is a mountain for climbers and hikers. If you have a car, then nearby you can visit Malaga, Ronda, Antequera, caves. There are many animals around. We met a fox, a group of wild boars ran near the door of the apartment. We and our dogs was happy !
Villa La Torre is a perfect base for climbers in the El Chorro area. The two climbing sectors nearby are Rocebella (10 min walk) or Corral East (25 min). We booked the villa for two couples and were very pleased with the layout of the villa. As the villa is at the end of a gravel road, it's very quiet and you feel more or less alone and right in the middle of nature on the hill.
Lovely little house on a nice street. Well equipped. Easy to get in. Small convenience store nearby. Very close to train station.
El Chorro is a great area with a nice hiking&climbing options and this is a great place to start. I highly recommend a hike to Monte Huma and of course Caminito Del Rey.
Cosy rustic house with a modern well equipped kitchen in proximity of the El Chorro climbing area. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The house was very neat and reasonably comfortable. We would definitely consider it again in the future.
Our room was very comfortable, with warm bedding for the cool weather during our visit. The view was lovely from the first floor. The dining room was friendly, the staff helpful and the food was okay too.
