Albergue Turistico Torre de Saber is set in a peaceful area in El Cubo de Tierra del Vino. The property has a garden with seating area and offers free private parking. Great stop on our way doing the Camino de Santiago. Lovely experience sitting outside and enjoying one of the best meals we had on the entire trip. The tomatoes and vegetables are all grown at the house and the chicken dinner was amazing! The owner also has a young Arabian horse who was excited to show us his 'dance' around the field. A great little treat to see. Thanks for the evening!
Featuring an indoor pool, Hotel Rural Teso de la Encina offers a restaurant, bar and barbecue facilities. Surrounded by vineyards, the hotel is set in Villamor de los Escuderos. the location is great. the style of stay is very self-managed. There are only a few rooms with their door onto the open courtyard, and another door onto the common room/breakfast area. You have keys to the common room and can get drinks etc throughout your stay by adding them to your list of purchases and settle the bill at the end. They entrust the guests with the responsibility of being honest and respectful, which I found nice. Breakfast is a buffet - abundant and absolutely decent. The rooms can get a little noisy - definitely not right if you like to sleep in, as your door is directly on the common courtyard. But there are only 5 or 6 rooms total, so I would think this is an ideal place if you have a group. They will also let you use the kitchen with some planning ahead. The area around is vineyards and peaceful, with a short drive to the town for food etc (and a great cheese maker and shop). Definitely excellent price/quality ratio. Not a luxury stay, but very homey and welcoming.
Located in Villanueva de Campeán, Posada Real del Buen Camino has a shared lounge, garden and free WiFi throughout the property. This 4-star inn offers a tour desk. All rooms have a balcony. To be honest I did not expect to find such a jewel of an accommodation in that part of Spain. We were looking for a pet friendly place near open space, so we can walk our dogs after a long drive. When we arrived at the Posada I spotted two charging points - one for an electric car and one one for a Tesla! I just thought WOW! The minute I stepped into the Posada I just marvelled at - the skilled interior design which was a mixture of rural/ modern vintage style - at the impeccable floor tiles and wooden floor, stainless steel modern/ vintage taps - every piece of furniture was in its perfect place and came altogether in a perfect harmony to make the place stylish, classy and yet comfortable - the fact there was a Nepresso machine - important fact for all Coiffeures lovers - the mattress was of the highest quality and ideal for someone like me who suffers of back pain. - the crisp and starched sheets that reminded me of home and the way my mother’s does it Last not least the host is just wonderful who welcomes her guests with an open heart and tries to do everything to make their stay worthwhile. And before I forget my dogs received both a little good bye treat. It was truly a very special place- a place you want to return over and over again.
