We enjoyed wandering the pedestrian streets, and loved the market place. On our first night it rained but one of the restaurants overlooking the market place had waterproof awnings to sit under, so our meal wasn't ruined. The market place came to life the following evening and was a hive of people eating out and having fun. We took the bus to the castle for just 1€, and explored for an afternoon. We were very fortunate to be in Xativa during their Corpus Christi fetivities, and on Sunday afternoon we spotted the giant statues resting in the art gallery of the former convent. While in there some local ladies were at pains to tell us all about them and show us videos and inform us of where they would be later in the day. We stayed later in Xativa than we had planned so that we could watch all of the fun. A lovely town, with beautiful buildings.

Xativa is a relatively small town with a couple of interesting museums and a castle (on top of the hill). The old city centre is typical Spanish with narrow streets and alleys. If you have the chance, climb the church tower: magnificent views! The newer part of town has supermarkets, shopping centre etc.
There is a station with good connections to Valencia, making a day trip to Valencia easy (and without parking hassle).

Beautiful castle and walk, the Alhambra of Valencia!
Beautiful castle and walk, the Alhambra of Valencia! Great area for hikes, running and cycling. The town has a lot to offer, especially at Christmas time. The 'living' nativity scene is a must see.

Great location as a base for exploring surrounding area.
Great location as a base for exploring surrounding area. Only negative was it was difficult to find somewhere to eat in the evenings, not many restaurants, it was at least 21:00 before they opened and most where booked. Luckily our hotel had a wonderful restaurant, though a little expensive. A very friendly and lovely place to visit.

I was there for a wedding so only stayed 1 full day.
I was there for a wedding so only stayed 1 full day. What I saw though from walking around town made me want to explore the city and the area more. The castles (no time to visit but I saw them from afar), the old town square, nice churches, beautiful buildings and tiles. I might just have to fly back again.
The hotel is currently being refurbished to a pretty good standard. I had a room where nearly everything appeared to be pretty new. It had a small but attractive patio-balcony overlooking the street. The hotel has locked, covered parking (good idea when touring by motorcycle and staying in populated areas). The town is full of life and there are some pedestrianised streets full of good restaurants within 5 minutes walk of the hotel. I enjoyed my stay there.
A fantastic stay in a historical house in the centre of Xativa. Big and confortable room and bathroom, excellent breakfast with real coffee 😊. But most of all the warm welcome and the friendliness of Ian made this stay very memorable. He gave us very detailed information about the city and places to eat. We can recommend Casa Aldomar without any doubt! Parking the car can be done on the avenue at 5 minutes walk.
the whole experience at Vernisa was excellent. staff were great and could not do enough for you. the room was large and well equipped . very clean and I would recommend this hotel to everyone. location was ideal being just off the autoroute. the secure parking was well worth the price as we towed a trailer . I can’t speak any higher of this hotel and the staff.
A small hotel but exceeded my expectations. The receptionist was exceptionally kind in helping me park my car. He also updated my room to a large room on the ground floor at no extra expense when he realised I have to walk with a stick and there was no lift. Very reasonably priced meal in the restaurant. All together very good value for money.
Good location in the town at a very reasonable price. The lady who checked us in and cooked our breakfast is a credit to the hotel. Friendly and professional and made our stay. Breakfast at 6€ was amazing value for the array of food on offer. Would recommend for an over night stay but not comfortable for any longer than this.
Friendliness and quick response of the hosts, checking in with us regularly to ask if all was OK. Very good wifi quality - we had a few work meetings during our stay. Very spacious apartment, kitchen with all cooking essentials provided, and fantastic location in Xativa. We will definitely consider staying here again!
The property was in a fantastic location in the historic Old Town of Xàtiva, close to the market Square and lots to explore nearby. The city is a great base for exploring the Valencia region. The room was comfortable and the shared spaces were spacious and clean. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone!
The knowledgeable and friendly hosts gave us a great orientation of the apartment. They provided us with useful information about the city and environs. Both the kitchen and bathroom were well stocked. The location was perfect for us. It was a pleasure to return to the apartment after exploring Xativa.
We had a wonderful time in this hotel. Staff is very nice, helpful and they are there if you need them. The environment in the hotel is created for a full relaxation, just very nice quiet place with beautiful views to rest your eyes on and very clever design of the rooms.
Thank you for our stay.
Loved our stay here. Great communication & responsive host. Everything was as described and it looked as in the photos. The location was great. Car Parking a short walk away was ok. Xativa is a great place to visit we could have stayed a couple of nights.
Everything. The staff was very friendly and very thoughtful! Thanks Med. Our room was exactly like pictures and it felt even better, the bathroom was amazing and the bed very comfortable! If we ever come back to Xàtiva we will definitely stay there again.
I have stayed at the hotel previously and found it to be excellent, it is well located, directly opposite the railway station and very close to the town centre. David who runs the hotel is very helpful, nothing is too much trouble.
