Surrounded by lush gardens, the Sherry Park Hotel offers a large outdoor swimming pool and rooms with free WiFi. It is 15 minutes’ walk from the historical center of Jerez. We enjoyed our stay very, very much. The hotel room was large and comfortable, extremely clean. The shower was excellent- hot water, the shower heads that spray right into lower back, great water pressure. Lots of room to put out vanity items. Also loved the balcony, though next time I will ask for a room with pool view. The hotel staff was excellent, extremely helpful, professional and friendly. The pool area and bar are beautiful. Food was outstanding especially the sangria and garlic shrimp. And as long as you carry Cardinal Mendoza, my husband is a happy camper :) . Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Jerez appears to be much less touristy than other Spanish Cities. Maybe this was just because we arrived the day after the Feria ended in May, or maybe it is more off the beaten track. It is a lovely City to wander around, with beautiful old houses and Bodegas, an interesting Cathedral, and a really lovely Alcazar, (which was probably the highlight for us). You can watch Flamenco if you wish to, and the Feria in May is popular, as it the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art which hosts a fascinating horse dancing show on certain days. In mid-May, the Jacaranda trees are absolutely spectacular, so it is a lovely time to visit.
This is a real Spanish town. Little English spoken. Should have brought phrasebook. We loved it. Lots of history. Places to go and of course the dancing horses show and horse festival. We're fantastic
This is a lovely place to visit with lots of options to meet most traveller. The Alcazar and various churches provides places to visit for those wanting to experience history/culture and enough Bodegas to educate on the production of wine. We found the small restaurants and Piazzas great places to rest and refuel and the quality was very good. We loved the Plaza Plateros for the atmosphere and restaurants. Easy to get a simple Tapas or full meal. We stopped at the Cafe Canela for a coffee. I wanted to try a sherry and asked for help. After solving the "what is sherry" issue I was treated to a informative chat on the different in the three types and given an excellent wine. I was even treated to the owners favourite, which is not on sale in the bar.
Beautiful city with many restaurants and bars. Great city to wander around soaking up the atmosphere. Convenient for a vist to Cadiz - 30 minutes by train (Cadiz is good for a day trio but is very crowded). The restaunants have great sea food - we enjoyed: La Cruz Blanco, Albores, Bar Juanito.
The old city has only few well-maintained areas. Most are neglected. Among these I point out in particular the area of the Alkazar, Tio Pepe and the Cathedral. A real disappointment, being able to choose again I would avoid Jerez on my trip.
Jerez de la Frontera is an incredible place! Flamenco, sherry wine, tapas and Andalucian horses - the entire experience is delightful. Additionally, from tabancos to Michelin Star restaurants, there is a cuisine for everyone. Absolutely wonderful gastronomy. And, most importantly, the people are generous and warm and will welcome you with amazing hospitality.
Jerez de la Frontera
We loved our week at Hotel San Andras - Jose made us so welcome from the moment we arrived - the room was a decent size and clean - towels were changed every day - location was perfect for strolling the town - many breakfast spots close by - a piece of authentic Spain. All things being equal, we expect to visit Jerez regularly as we now have family there and would definitely aim to stay at San Andras again if possible.
Jerez de la Frontera
Hosts José and Leonor were super-nice and helpful, house and rooms have an unique ambience and Andalucían character, it really makes you feel that you are in Jerez. Good bathroom with fantastic water pressure in the shower and drainage (not always a given in Spain). Overall value for money was good for July.
The room I stayed in was very clean and had air conditioning. Clean sheets, clean towels provided. It had nice tile floors and the hotel managers were incredibly nice. The hotel is located close to the city center, and it’s a very small, locally owned place.
