Nice, small city, good food and friendly people. A lot of aggressive begging in a small area close to the centre, but that is a feature of many cities. Nice old town, well worth spending a bit of time there. The children's parade in early January is always worth a visit if travelling to Jerez in wintertime. Unique, great atmosphere and not like anywhere else. Just beware that parking is difficult at this time.
Walking around the old town and getting lost in the streets stopping at one of the hundreds of tapas bars is the best way to visit the centre of Jerez. You have to visit one of the dozens of Bodegas in Jerez. We went to Gonzales Byass and, although it is a little expensive, it was definitely worth the money. Having a sherry at El Pasaje is a must with a fantastic flamenco show. Jerez is most lively during the day and in the night is best at the weekends. This time we did not see the dancing horses show but it is something which needs to be seen at least once in your life if you visit the city. Go for an ice cream to Heladeria Margarita La Fresca. Have a few tapas in Albores and also pop to Malvón for a quick bite of the most amazing pasties.
Excellent historic sites (Cathedral, Alcazar, and many other churches that show the Catholic past), but also interesting Arab baths, and many houses with Arab mosaics and inner patios with interesting architecture. There are many remnants of muslim culture in Jerez, food is great, prices are lower than expected. The yellow colour is very characteristic in the outside decor of buildings. Clima/temperature is fantastic in February when I was there. And there are orange trees all throughout the city - with oranges :)
Nice with a car. Easy too park in a parking place above the road. We was going too Jerez racing track, and stayed there for this purpose. Close too restaurants and bars. Can easily recommend this place!
Fine for no more than a couple of days especially if you are interested in visiting the Jerez bodegas. We found Cadiz much livelier and more picturesque. If your time is short and are torn between visiting one or the other, choose the latter and do a day trip to Jerez.
This intimate accommodation (Maisonnette) was an excellent choice for two people. The ground floor had a living area, kitchen and full bath with the bedroom up a tight set of stairs that might be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. Very close to several sherry bodegas and within walking distance to the center of town (Cathedral, Alcazar and many restaurants). Bonuses included parking, a few steps from the unit, in a large, secure, multicar garage that served the whole block. Access to a washer and dryer was a huge plus. Communications with the host were smooth and very helpful. One downside was that we booked two apartments which were shown together on the listing so we thought that they would be together but were actually a 7 minute walk apart. In the end our friends did not join us so we didn't use the second apartment but I think this should be more clear in the listing.
Jerez de la Frontera
The property is next to the statue of Lola Flores, in the old town. It’s a pretty location and quite quiet for a city centre. We visited during Covid times, so to reduce social contact, communication with staff was via WhatsApp, which was actually far more convenient than a reception desk. We booked a studio but were given had a 2 bedroom apartment, which was comfy, clean and just the job for a 4 night stay. There’s a fantastic restaurant next door (Atuvera) which has the friendliest staff and best food.
Jerez de la Frontera
Fantastic stay - Virginia made every effort to make our stay memorable, including recommendations for excellent places to eat and drink. Our room was beautifully decorated, shabby chic with some very attractive pieces, and comfortable. Although over the road, it was quiet overnight - unusual in Spain! Whilst we were there, the property was being decorated beautifully for Christmas, again with every attention to detail. Very convenient parking across the road.
Great location, rooftop pool, delicious breakfasts, great rooms. The best bed and pillows I've tried in hotels: I'll dream of them because I slept very well. Croissants for breakfast - I miss them every day. It is very convenient that Bodega Tio Pepe is nearby and it is practically the only complex. You can return to Jerez at least to repeat the experience of staying at this hotel.
Jerez de la Frontera
I have been to Jerez many times and this lovely hotel is in the best location of all. We could listen to the sounds of water in the Arenal fountain from our room. The apartment was very nice, and gives access to the many barrios of interest - San Miguel, Alcazar/cathedral, via Larga, etc. We will stay here again.
This hotel is pure magic from all aspects: beauty of the place, service, comfort, food and beverages quality and taste. One feels like being a guest in a large noble Andalusian family house with a contemporary design and atmosphere. Everyday we discovered new details in the hotel that were enchanting.
The room I stayed in was very clean and had air conditioning. Clean sheets, clean towels provided. It had nice tile floors and the hotel managers were incredibly nice. The hotel is located close to the city center, and it’s a very small, locally owned place.
Friendly and helpful staff, clean quiet room, near the city centre with a very nice atmosphere!! 10/10, it's an older type of accomodation but renovated, clean and the staff is taking a good and honest care of the hotel. Really lovely stay.
Jerez de la Frontera

Jerez de la Frontera
This apartment has a perfect location. Near all the main attractions of Jerez de la Frontera. You can explore the city on foot from there. The host is also a very nice guy.
The location is good, not far from the railway station, a few minutes from the city centre. The room was clean enough, the bed was comfy.
Beautiful hotel in an excellent location close to the Jerez Fair. The Restaurant Plato de los Naranjos had great food at very good price.
