The Sierra Gador close to the hotel is a wonderful place to drive to, following the old forest tracks. Evidence of lead and silver mines can be explored. The local village has superb views across the "Sierra" ranges. Local wine is excellent.
This is a splendid accommodation at the border of Sierra Nevada Reservation. The tranquility, the comfort and all the things this place has to offer make it a perfect place to stay (especially if you want to disconnect from the crowded cities).
Great hotel and good value for money! We travelled with motorbike around the Alpujarra and my friend and I were very pleased with the hotel. The beds were excellent and the pillows even better, room very clean and warm. The breakfast was included and they had nice selection of cold cuts, cheese, cereals, juices, fruits, home made cake and jam, homemade quince.... honestly for 60 euro a night including breakfast you can’t get it better! The receptionist was very pleasant and the owner, an old Spanish man gave us some routes through off-road trails we wouldn’t find it otherwise! We crossed the Alpujarra at 2000 meters off-road in the most amazing trail you can imgine... and all thanks to him!
The hotel is very peaceful, but a long walk to the village. All our meals were in the hotel restaurant, excellent food reasonably priced. Car parking for our groups six cars was perfect at no extra cost.
Mountain village, really good price for its tapas, you can go to have dinner to this village or to other villages around (such as Fondon). You get a lot of nice pork tapas for really cheap price. You can do nice walking trips (I highly recommend Padules walk) and wine tasting all around the area. But I recommend it for max 5 to 7 days, as otherwise it can be boring. You need car to reach all these villages, roads are montain roads so you need to drive carefully.
The swimmingpool was nice. Receptionist David was polite and friendly.
