From the moment our car entered the street where Hotel Monells Summum is located, we started our magical six day vacation for exploring the Costa Brava. The photos on its website do not do justice to the overall exceptional beauty of every aspect of this lodging. We were greeted by Myrta and her staff who took our luggage to our room. At each turn, whenever they could be helpful, they exceeded our expectations. We looked forward to breakfast each day, enjoying the views of the swimming pool and overall tranquil environment. We are already thinking about a return visit. If you enjoy staying in an exquisite boutique hotel, that feels like a home, then this is the find you will remember very fondly.

The house is beautiful, it has lovely common areas which makes you feel at home. However, I made a reservation a year ago and I was given the worst bedroom (in my opinion) as it was on the ground floor and I could hear other guests and cars.

We really loved staying here. It felt like we were staying in a family home.it’s beautifully decorated as well. The owners were welcoming and helpful. It’s walking distance to restaurants and there are many other restaurants nearby. The town of Corçà was a quiet medieval town, beautiful to walk around. It’s easy to get to other beautiful towns as well.

    Peaceful retreat surrounded by nature. A swimming pool with amazing views of Madremanya. Lovely apartment with private terrace, clean & has everything needed for a self-catering stay. The apartment is not modern, but it is cozy and has a well equipped kitchen. Very good bed. It is perfect for walking and biking. Arriving late due to car trouble, Jennie made us an evening snack. Thanks to Jennie & family for being so welcoming & accommodating.

    Madremanya itself is a small, gorgeous medieval and early modern town, in a beautiful area of the Baix Emporda, made of rolling hills, valleys and forests, hiking parks, and other gem-like towns. Everything about the hotel is done with terrific aesthetic sensibility and care, from the landscaping to the pool to the layout of the rooms. The owner is personable and pleasantly ironic. The restaurant is fantastic, whether breakfast or dinner.
