Despite the number of tourist, a feature of most European destinations nowadays, Madrid is a stunning mixture of grand buildings and beautiful backstreets peppered with cafes, bars, restaurants, interesting little shops, boutiques and the usual array of retail. It is a fascinating city to walk around every corner opening up to a new vista of grand builds, quaint alley ways, magnificent parks and plazas.
