It’s a lovely boutique hotel in a great location, very close to the marina, beach, museums, cathedral and shopping streets and restaurants. However the main advantage of this hotel is the lovely staff. The reception staff, the breakfast room staff and the staff in rooftop bar couldn’t have been more professional and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Very relaxed and chilled place to stay. We’ve been twice and will return ☺️

FAQs about hotels in Málaga

he Colorful Soul of the Costa del Sol

The birthplace of Picasso is as colorful as an artist’s palette, from the deep blue of the Mediterranean Sea to the golden sun, which gives 300 days of sunshine per year. When the sun sets, the vibrant nightlife awakens and you’ll find your place among the youthful square of the old center, the trendy bars of La Malagueta or on one of the terraces of Pedregalejo.

There’'s also rich history underneath the sun and fun. Alcazaba is a Moorish castle from the 11th century and just next to it are the remnants of a Roman Theatre. The white stone tower of the Malaga Cathedral rises up in the heart of the city centre, and offers an interesting respite from sun bathing on the magnificent and popular beaches.

A more modern history can be appreciated by visiting the birthplace of Picasso and a museum full of exhibitions by Malaga 's most famous resident. A more relaxed Spanish city than Madrid and Barcelona, Malaga is still the gateway to the Costa del Sol and the busy Malaga Airport is only 6 miles from the center of town.

From budget hostels to 5-star luxury hotels, with Booking.com you're sure to find the perfect place to stay for your sunny vacation.

    We didn’t like main beach.

We didn’t like main beach. However really enjoyed the city centre and the harbour area. Unfortunately train station was 50min walk from apartment, so getting out of Malaga wasn’t easy for us . However we did go by train to Granada and Torromellinos. Malaga had good restaurants and bars, lovely shops, art galleries and cathedral and castle.

Malaga is a great place to visit.

Malaga is a great place to visit. It is full of shops, bars and restaurants. There are some beautiful churches. There is a lovely tropical garden that has been really well thought out for the people of the city. You can visit the fortress and the castle on the hill. The new walkway, shops and restaurants near the sea are great to visit, along with the Sunday market. Most places are walkable apart from the botanical gardens which are about a 10 minute drive or bus ride from the centre but worth a visit. There is a bus stop just outside the gardens. There is also a long stretch of beach. It is also a good base for visiting other resorts. I would definitely go back again.

I think 3-4 days in Málaga would be ideal - we had a bit less time. There are some nice central beaches, which are worth visiting. The cathedral is really beautiful and there are some nice tapas bars right next to it, so one can have dinner with a view. Overall delicious food, but, contrary to my expectations, the hotels here are significantly more expensive compared to Marbella or Granada. This surprised me, since Marbella and Granada are way more touristic than Málaga. If we have had some more time, we would have visited Alcazaba and Gabralfaro as well as some museums. Getting normal tickets (without a guided tour) for Caminito del rey seems to be impossible.

The Malagueta beach was very nice, we enjoyed the museums, the restaurants by the beach and also the historical places, even if it was very difficult to reach some of them, the Alcazaba fortress was so high up! We will surely return to Malaga in the future.

Beautiful place with lots of interesting places to visit.

Beautiful place with lots of interesting places to visit. Beach was a bit disappointing as the sand was full of cigarette butts but the rest of Malaga was quite clean. Quite a lot of building work going on. Everything was in walking distance with some of the best restaurants and food I have ever experienced. Lovely gardens and places to visit. The Glass Museum is a must and so was the Flamenco show and Bull Ring Museum.

    Stunning city, beautiful streets.

Stunning city, beautiful streets. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Lots of shops. The hop on hop off bus tour was an excellent way of getting around seeing things we would never have had the time to see, stunning beaches, magnificent marina with its bustle of market stalls. Again lots of places to eat and drink. I have never enjoyed walking so much, stopping for coffee and a bit of people watching. Our favourite place to eat was called Santa Monica, there are two and they both serve the same home cooked traditional Spanish food, highly recommend.

We loved it here. The accommodation was perfectly located. Ten mins (8 if fast) from the port. Easily accessible from the airport. Right in the heart of the historic old town with no problem choosing a gorgeous bar. But equally off a hidden quiet street you wouldn’t go down unless you stayed there - so so quiet. It was a lovely surprise that one of the roof top bars I had saved was part of the hotel and we got a freee drink. We loved that we could store our luggage safely too. When we return to Malaga we will stay here again for sure!

A very convenient and well-located hotel in the heart of Málaga! 🏙️✨ Surrounded by charming narrow streets, it offers the perfect base to explore the old town. Despite being in the city center and having a restaurant nearby, the apartment is surprisingly quiet, allowing for a good night’s rest.
