It is a working town, functional, but a gateway to mountains and sea. Having a car to explore the area would be easiest, but Oviedo is only 20 minutes away by public transport. The coastline is beautiful but if you want to party and be in a hub, this may not be for you, apart from the cider bars which are great fun, and great traditional seafood, it isn't a party town.Guest review byJaneAustralia

My own experience was rather smooth. The host contacted me and kept me informed of the procedure to find the building and access the apartment. Once I entered the apartment the room and facilities were very good and everything looked clean and well maintained. The lovely staff were so welcoming to us and our dog. The breakfasts were copious, fresh and tasty. The rooms were spacious, if a little spartan, and the bed was very comfortable.
