Overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, Mojacar is a medieval Moorish, town in the Spanish Province of Almería. This white-walled destination, which is situated on a rocky hillside at the foot of the Sierra de Cabrera, will surprise you with its natural beauty and unique architecture.

Great apartment but you need to get a taxi to town and they are few and far between there is a bus that comes every half an hour but not all night. The apartment in a development with two pools however there are no beds and you will need to buy your own bed if you want to sunbathe there the only other option is to go the beach club but that will cost you 25 euros per day. Mojacar pueblo is a pretty white village 15 minutes drive from mojacar beach. Lots of shops , places to eat and stunning views. The church in the centre is the only building in the whole village that isn’t white and worth a visit. There is a little bar called Loro Azul been there since 1994 good wine and very friendly hosts. Highly recommend. We ate at La Muralla the views are fabulous and great to watch sunset. Opens at 7-30 get there early as they don’t allow reservations. Good prices pizza was €12 . Clearly a lot of Spanish families and Spanish run businesses. Easy to get around. Loved all the little alleyways leading to more shops and places to eat. Mojacar is a good choice for a holiday, but do your research on location. There are plenty of bars and restaurants, but location is key. Don't stay too far away from anything, as it's a long walk between good places to eat.
