Offering views of Huelva, Hotel Santa Maria is located in the village of La Rábida, just 6.2 mi outside the city. It offers large gardens, a snack bar and free Wi-Fi in public areas. Fine hotel, it's nicely located not far from the big city. Friendly staff, clean room. Desk so I could work on my laptop. They also have some rooms for parties and meetings and such, but I was just a traveler.
Featuring a bar, Hotel Restaurante La Rabida is located in Palos de la Frontera in the Andalucía region, 3.1 miles from La Rabida Monastery and 3.7 miles from Muelle de las Carabelas. Convenient stopover for ferry port. Good value food in their restaurant. Dog welcome and easy parking
Featuring a shared lounge, Hostal Huelva Art is located in Huelva in the Andalucía region, 1.2 miles from Iglesia de San Pedro and 1.4 miles from Huelva Cathedral. Location is good... walking distance to many places. Clean and quiet rooms... a very well working hairdryer :)
Providing accommodations with free WiFi, air conditioning and flat-screen TV, Vivienda Reina Victoria is located a 17-minute walk from Iglesia de San Pedro and 1.1 miles from Huelva Cathedral. The cleanliness and quietness. The young lady who checked us in was as sweet and helpful as could be, going out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed.
Guest House Onoba in Huelva is located an 18-minute walk from Iglesia de San Pedro and provides air-conditioned accommodations with free WiFi, as well as access to a terrace. We had a very comfortable stay and the host is incredibly friendly. There's wifi and a kitchen for everyone to use. Our room was comfortable and had air conditioning, but we didn't have to use this during our stay. The bathroom was clean and a great shower! The kitchen had everything needed to prepare our meals as well as a dining table in the main room. We were 30 mins away from the furthest sight we wanted to see, which was the pier at sunset, with a comfortable walk into the main centre. There is street parking and a carpark just 3 mins walk away, but at busier times you could struggle to find a free space. We didn't realise that we would be having a room in the hosts house, so we did feel like we had to be quiet, especially on the first night, but we were made to feel very welcome and everyone got on well and we didn't feel as though we bothered anyone or were bothered by others, either. As with most places we have stayed in Portugal / Spain, we were able to use Google Translate for communication, which hasn't been a problem at all.
The NH Luz is located in central Huelva, next to the Huelva Museum and just 9.3 mi from Punta Umbria Beach. All rooms have a balcony, free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. very nice breakfast with lots of options. Me and my wife love it. Quiet hotel and room which we value a lot. Huge room and bed nice size but could be a bit bigger for our taste. Overall very good experience
Situated in the center of Huelva, Hotel Familia Conde is ideal accommodation for spending a sun-filled vacation on the beautiful Costa de la Luz area of southern Andalusia. Location was perfect with many Restaurants Close by, beakast buffet was simple but good ,
I said "hotel reeption" 3 times in my best Spanish accent and the man just stared at me. I had a reservation. No one else was there. I then pointed to the sign and he understood. It took him about 20 min. to fill out all of the forms for me to register. What was with all of this? The hotel itself was very lovely. Very will worth the money. No one in the vicinity knew about "Columbus." They kept saying "carabelles." So I went to the carabelles. If one is not Spanish speaking, there is no way to know that "muelles do carabelles" is where Columbus left from. There is no sign saying Columbus, Santa Maria, nothing, not a hint. What is with this place. There is a major tourist possibility and there is no interest in education or money. This whole are needs help!
Excelent location to explore the beginning of the age of discovery where Columbus & the the Pinzon brothers embarked to America. The town is blesssed by the good fortune of having honest community leaders, an international export of strawberries, & a oil refinery which pours money into the city coffers making the little town like the little train that could. Lots of renovation, interesting museums, very clean with nice town folks
The town gave a feeling of a total cleanliness of the area. We were able to unexpectedly meet up with friends living in Mazagon and thence toured the countryside with them The area is very relaxing and a good spot from which to visit the National Park, Rio Tinto mines and the coastal seaside villages.
