Located in Porriño and with University of Vigo reachable within 8 miles, Hotel Internacional Porriño has a bar, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a shared lounge. Room was spacious and comfortable. Couple who managed it were friendly and helpful. It was close enough to our Caminó and close to services.
Casa Lolita / Camino de Santiago / Porriño in Porriño has accommodations with free WiFi, 7 miles from University of Vigo. David was a wonderful host. His apartment was warm and very comfortable. There was everything we needed to cook, and the bread, spreads and chocolates were much appreciated. It was close to everything and easy to find the Camino the next morning.
Casucho da Peregrina is a hostel located in O Porriño, 3.1 mi from the Portuguese pilgrimage route of Camino de Santiago. Free WiFi is offered and free private parking is available on site. Beautiful little casita high in the hills of Porriño. Jesus and his wife (owners) were warm and helpful. Had a stove fire warming the place on our arrival. Jesus picked us up from the center of town, since the property is quite a distance away. Quiet location with beautiful hills.
Featuring free WiFi and a terrace, Pensión Mosende offers accommodations in Mosende, 7 minutes' drive away from Porriño and 8.1 mi from Vigo. Free private parking is available on site. Nice place. Friendly welcome. Good size rooms. Short walk to town centre.
Featuring free WiFi and a terrace, Alojamiento Camino Portugues offers accommodations in Porriño, 3.1 mi from University of Vigo. All rooms come with a shared bathroom fitted with a shower. My Friends and I love staying here while walking the Camino. The showers are actually amazing, the place is clean, and we are welcomed by the nicest staff! We will return again!
Offering free Wi-Fi, Hostal Expo is located in the Las Rias Baixas area, 10 minutes’ drive from Porriño town center. The guest house also features a restaurant and a free private parking on site. Nice pool and room. In a semi rural area. Pick up and drop off on the Camino in Porriño were greatly appreciated. If walking the Portuguese central route take the complementario detour route and about 5 km before Porriño follow signs (a bit tricky) off the Camino trail for less than 2km. Very helpful and entertaining owners. Highly recommended.
As a pilgrim walking the Portuguese Way of the Camino de Santiago, I didn't see much of Porrino. What I did see was very industrial, which isn't to my taste for a travel destination. Even the John Brierley guidebook my friend and I used mentions the industrial-ness of the town. So unless you're passing through as a Pilgrim or you enjoy industrial environments, I wouldn't recommend the town as an ultimate travel destination.
8.4 Very Good 841 reviews
Location, right at the end of the alternate route into Porrino. I did not take any negative notes and I honestly cannot remember exactly having stayed in 8 other places since then. I stayed here last year and obviously liked it enough to stay again.
