Staff was great. Good location. The room was comfortable although a bit warm. But they did have an oscillating fan which was appreciated. It was also on the fourth floor.

The home and grounds are exquisite. The hostess, Berenice, treated us like family. The breakfast was wonderful and served in a very cozy room with views of the gardens.

We only had one night in Ribadeo, which by coincidence, was during a festival. The night life was brilliant, with live music staged in the town centre, and several ad hoc groups of musicians moving around the town, as well as a fair.
It was a great night, and we loved the atmosphere and the friendliness of the locals.

Ribadeo is a small seaside town.
Ribadeo is a small seaside town. Very quiet this time of the year. Easy to walk around but the town itself could be difficult for wheelchair users or people with visual or walking difficulties. Several of the footpaths are quite narrow and the kerbs are up to 30cm in height in some places. However outside the town centre, walkers should not experience any difficulties.
People are friendly and helpful. I speak some Spanish and Portuguese, and found I could manage Gallego, the local dialect, which is similar to Portuguese. This is just as well as very few people can speak more than a few words of English. I noticed that most of the reviews were from Spanish people.
You can take a local bus or walk on a boardwalk about an hour east to Praia Catedrais (Cathedral Beach), where there are spectacular rock formations where the sea has eroded the coastline. Some parts are inaccessible at high tide and there are clear signs warning that you will be fined at least €6,000 if they have to rescue you!
This time of the year, Ribadeo would be an ideal place to visit if you are looking for a nice quiet holiday.

The bedding ( pillows) could be better.

The friendliness of the population has to be experienced to believe it. Not a huge town but plenty happening there. Shops and bars abound and a short walk/drive down to the sea front with restaurants to enjoy the array of fish dishes.

Gorgeous waterfront. Lovely town squares.
Gorgeous waterfront. Lovely town squares. Very relaxed atmosphere when we were there in early October. Weather was perfect. We had a delicious dinner with great service. Good prices and delicious food. Shame I can't recall the name!
The hotel is newly renovated and painted. My rook was extremely spacious with an excellent bathroom. This felt more like a 4 star hotel. The location was perfect for sightseeing by foot...this is a beautiful little village. In would definitely come back and stay at Hotel Ros Mary again. Highly recommended.
When you first get there you think you are out of town but actually you are only 100m from the centre. The staff were helpful and friendly. There is a laundry about 75m from hotel. Breakfast was designed for the Camiño guests so don’t order too much if you are visiting town. It was basic but okay
When I first walked into the room I was thrilled, thinking "YES" this is what every hotel room should look like. It has everything here, great location too. A must if you are on the Camino. The inclusive breakfast is incredible.
Very nice room in small hotel in centre of small town in little known part of Spain. Very helpful and friendly owner, who brought forward breakfast for me, so I could catch my bus. Clean, comfortable, good wifi.
