This city is just so beautiful, from the long and stunning beaches, to the delicious food they have, the ambience and environment is really fun and people are so happy. We had the best experience riding with the bikes that our hotel (Bidaia Hotel boutique - highly recommend this place) borrowed us to discover the whole city. It's a bike friendly city and we had such an amazing time. You should definitely stay at Bidaia Boutique Hotel And you should go and try this restaurant called 'MendaurBerria' in the historic center of San Sebastián, their torrija and their calamari taco is just soooo good.
San Sebastien is beautiful. I didn’t find any nice restaurants despite walking and looking in internet. Not sure how good it could be to eat here. They did have a Starbucks and a lot of fast food places. The natives at the time I went seemed to be mostly retirees. Traffic is pretty fast and aggressive considering it’s a beach town. The locals aren’t particularly friendly. Globally beach was amazing, not much of a food experience, plenty of hotels around but parking is expensive
San Sebastian is a great destination for all ages. There is something for everyone. Great beaches, fantastic bars, grand for people watching. A few churches and a big cathedral.....well worth a visit and free to enter. Play areas for children. The old town is picturesque and it is a great place for walking around.
Nice walk along bay from Old Town to Funicular railway. Stunning Views from up there. My favourite part of the City was the Old Town & Quay area. Good variety of bars & restaurants. Didn't encounter any stag or hen parties, which is a big plus. Everything I wanted to see was in walking distance of Hotel. Pity it wasn't summer when I went, because it has a great beech.
I was not able to spend as much time as I wished in San Sebastian so would like to go back. I thought it was a very beautiful and elegant city if somewhat busy. Lots of cars and bustle. Cafes and restaurants were good.
Gorgeous place to walk around with lots to see, bars and restaurants are plenty but restaurants can be a bit pricey. stick with the small bars around the old town who offer great value food and drink with a great service.
Fantastic location, friendly staff, great coffee area, charming, albeit small, room.
excellent location on the beach, great views, comfortable, nice staff
I’ll keep it short and sweet: we loved absolutely everything. From the moment we arrived to the second we checked out. We’ve stayed at hotels that have charged way more but Villa Soro trumps them all. The staff was amazing, they made everything to make sure our stay was perfect. The facilities and room was charming, clean and well taken care of. Breakfast was unbelievable (best we’ve had in southern Europe) and the breakfast room was beautiful. The hotel has free bikes for the hotel guests which is the best way to experience San Sebastian, in our opinion, big plus. It’s fairly close to everything (San Sebastian is not that big) and about a 15min walk to/from the central station. It’s a lot of money for one night but we thought every single cent was worth it, which is rare. Favorite hotel ever. 10/10.
Location and cleanliness. The best view from room.
Great location. Easy walk to beach and old town. Great breakfast
Excellent staff, Mario was at the front desk the evening that we checked - in. Mario was friendly, helpful, and explained everything that we needed it to know regarding the hotel facilities, private parking, public transportation, restaurants, etc. Great job Mario! Our room was clean, large, and facing the beach. We had an awesome view of beautiful Ondarreta Beach. The hotel’s location was perfect. To reach the beach, all we had to do was to walk across the street. Also, there was a restaurant adjacent to the hotel that served delicious food. We will definitely return to this hotel when we visit San Sebastian.
Everything. Food joint downstairs.
Excellent place to be if ever in San Sabastian! I will be back and spend some more time in the near future. The property location, the scenic view, the room quality and the upkeep of everything is spick and span. They have SPA too that is well kept and maintained. The host family is very nice and friendly folks. Both the daughters are adoring and friendly and willing to help with all and any query, the younger daughter checked us in and made us feel at home in no time with her great extroverted personality and good sense of humor. The Parents are very friendly as well and always smiling. They have created an excellent property and raised 2 great daughters. If LIFE enables i will love to come back and stay for a good 2 weeks. Thank you so much Maddy & IoLa you will be remembered and in my memory Permanently. God Bless! Last but not the least, they has house Wine which I got to Enjoy a glass each night before going to Sleep, where I got access to pour as much as I wanted :) and the quality of the Red Wine was Par Excellent! Wish Airports allowed to carry liquids, if so I had a HUGE Water container like 2 Liter that I would have smuggled Wine with lololo... naa just kidding :) the Hosts were truly Excellent folks as mentioned. -Murali Iyer. Los Angeles - California.
Simple but tastefull and functional
The bungalows were a pleasant surprise. The beds were comfortable and it was clean throughout. I would definitely stay there again. The location was ideal because it was only a short drive from San Sebastian (and away from the traffic of the city center). Highly recommend for families.
Very friendly and helpful staff
From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by the warm modern architecture, incredible ocean views and ambiance. The reception and bell staff were very professional and helpful. They greeted us with a nice cocktail and assisted us with our bags. The main room, walk in closet, and bathroom were elegant, modern, well appointed and beautiful. The technology was extremely advanced. Staff politely asked pertinent questions that helped them cater to our needs. They also offered assistance in setting up excursions and info on places to see. On our final day we had to depart early for an outgoing flight. The restaurant manager prepared an incredible to go brunch for us that included fresh brewed coffee with warm almond milk, green smoothies and fresh local items. We will definitely visit here again.
The staff was very nice Being green Organic food Its not down town but you have very easy access
The location by the marina .. room with sea view is definately worth it
