Hotel in Santa Cruz de la Palma
Hotel San Telmo is located in central Santa Cruz de la Palma. This restored 17th-century building offers rooms with satellite TV and a private bathroom. There is barely a thing not to love about Hotel San Telmo. The location is convenient for walking to the pedestrianized streets in the historic center, the room and common areas were beautifully decorated, the beds were very comfortable, there was air conditioning (which isn't common and made for a great night's sleep), the proprietors were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was fantastic. The two hotel cats we met were entertaining and charming. Of the places we stayed during our 10 day trip, this was my favorite.

Santa Cruz de la Palma
Pension La Cubana is in the pedestrian area of the old town center of Santa Cruz de La Palma. It is a 10 minute walk to the beach and the hotel offers free Wi-Fi. The room was spacious and comfortable with a sink, closet, double bed and a chair. Bathroom a short walk down the hall. Only stayed quickly overnight but thought the place was clean, well facilitated, and the location is about as central as it gets in Santa Cruz. I didn't come into physical contact with the hosts but we spoke online and they were communicative making the whole process very easy.
Santa Cruz de la Palma
Apartamentos La Fuente are set in the Old Town of Santa Cruz de La Palma, just 164 feet from the sea front. This small apartment building offers free Wi-Fi access and a rooftop sun terrace. Very nice place, well located in the center of Santa Cruz. Excellent rooftop to drink some beers while watching the sunset. Highly recommended!
Santa Cruz de la Palma
Located just a short distance from the historical center of the city of Santa Cruz de la Palma, this is ideal accommodations for a sun-filled family holiday. The apartment exceeded my expectations, with much more space than I expected, plus a sea view (and great sunrise views!). The bed was comfortable, and it was quiet apart from the sound of the sea. Car parking was easy outside (there's a car park just down the road if needed, but it's often easy to park right at the hotel). It's just a short walk to the town centre (past several forts and a ship!). No breakfast available, but you don't need it as you have a kitchen, and shops nearby. For the price, this was a bargain - I would definitely stay again. (The photos are of room 302.)
Santa Cruz de la Palma
Located in Santa Cruz de la Palma in the Canary Islands region, with Santa Cruz de La Palma Beach and Bajamar Beach nearby, Aparthotel El Galeón has accommodations with free WiFi and free private... Large, comfortable and well equipped apartment a bit outside the city center. I also enjoyed the garage, parking conditions are difficult otherwise in S/C de La Palma.
Santa Cruz de la Palma
Located a 2-minute walk from Santa Cruz de La Palma Beach in Santa Cruz de la Palma, Casa Emblemática Salgado provides accommodations with air conditioning and free WiFi. The apartments are spectacular (I moved from No. 3 to No. 2 for the last couple of days) and sparkling clean. No. 3 is exceedingly spacious, over 3 floors; blue-themed, with superb kitchen and bathroom, very well equipped. The bedroom has a wonderful, ancient hammer-beam ceiling and a chandelier, and a couple of nice rooftop views; plenty of storage space for clothes etc. Sitting room/kitchen/diner on the middle floor, with comfortable sofa and good TV. The bathroom is on the lowest floor, which may not be convenient for some people. No. 2 (red-themed) is smaller, without much in the way of views, but is similarly equipped, more compact, on just one floor, and is rather quieter, so might suit some people better. I loved the thoughtful touches of a beach bag, beach towels, and a couple of good quality umbrellas - all came in useful. And a real stove-top espresso coffee maker, much appreciated! The historic house is situated very centrally in this lovely town, close to all attractions, several supermarkets as well as the covered market, and is just a couple of minutes' walk from a Blue Flag beach with safe swimming - hard to imagine a better position.

Banana Garden La Palma, Hotel Emblemático Holiday Time, and Hotel San Telmo are some of the popular hotels in Santa Cruz de la Palma.
There are 3 apartments in the building. We had the one on the middle floor. This was large with windows on two sides of the living area so was bright and spacious. There is a small balcony with great view of main historic street and partial view of sea. Top apartment has a private terrace which we did not have access to but would stay again in the apartment we had. The trip through lava fields is fascinating and would recommend a trip to the Southern tip of the island to the salt fields and light and also to see the observatories at Roque de los Muchachos.
The old city with the nice 16TH century buildings, the beach and the bathes, and a short excursion and trekking we made inland to visit the natural park of la Caldera. If you like trekking , you could stay a lot longer.
If you are into star gazing, or astrophotography, then this is the right place for you. The road up to Roque de los Muchachos was rather hard, especially at night time the whole road was so dark. But once you get to the observatory Roque de los Muchachos, it totally worth it. We saw millions of stars just with naked eye! But one thing you need to be aware is that the observatory closed at 9pm. Which mean the gate will be closed at 9pm, and it is almost an hour walk from the gate all the way up to the observatory. The town itself could be quite boring. If you are into parties, then this is not the place for you. May be go to Tenerife. But it is a great place to explore volcanos, go hiking and see dolphins. If you are lucky, you might be able to see whales too.
Santa Cruz is a beautiful colonial town, with a long sea-front and picturesque squares and winding streets. Fabulous fish in plenty of typical restaurants, all with great terrace spaces. Relaxing and friendly, it’s the perfect place to use as a base to explore the rest of the island.
Great variety of locations to visit with rental car on island even though a few roads were closed following the volcanic eruption of October 2021; the volcanic tourism is outstanding. Walking abd cycling trails abound. Wonderful swimming (at around 20 degrees in winter) with opportunities that have great variety from man-made sea pools to sandy beaches all of which are well presented and clean.
Very tidy steers considering a volcano was going off. Lots to see and do if you enjoy walking, shopping, eating and drinking with a touch of history too on the way. Loved the buildings architect and cobble streets. Very friendly people. Take the car and adventure the volcano and national parks too.

Santa Cruz de la Palma
Fantastic location, near Castillo de la Virgen and a few minutes walking to pedestrian city center and beach of Santa Cruz de La Palma. Also fantastic view on the Atlantic ocean. The house and the terrace were very nice, very calm neighborhood and no difficulty to find parking place in front of a local administration building. For those who like sunbathing, the second upper terrace is amazing.
Very nice hotel in a narrow and quiet street close to the city center. The hotel is neat and super clean, the rooms are well equipped and nicely decorated in a modern and design way. The breakfast has to be booked and is served. The "healthy" breakfast with local advocados and greek yoghurt with local fruits was absolutely delicious.
Santa Cruz de la Palma
The location in Santa Cruz de La Palma is excellent. You can walk from the port or the bus stop of the airport and it is in the middle of the town. The capsule was surprisingly comfortable and very clean inside. It is a weird type of accommodation, but not a bad one in the end. It is like a dormitory where you can have extra privacy.
Santa Cruz de la Palma
Perfect location in the hearth of the old town. Very clean. Beautiful historical building with internal patio. Easy parking within 100-200 meters from hotel. Lots of options to eat out. Walking distance from tue port and short drive from airport. Great price.
Santa Cruz de la Palma
It was our second stay in the hotel so we knew what to expect. There are not many options in La Palma and this aparthotel is good value for what it offers: large room with kitchen and separate bedroom, parking garage and good breakfast.
excellent boutique hotel, well located. very attentive staff and owner Fabian. really couldn’t fault it, and we were very disappointed when we couldn’t book a further night on our last day, they were full!we were there early March ’23.
The hotel was walking distance to beach, stores & restaurants. It also offered an delicious breakfast & staff was delightful. Our room had a terraza & that was a plus.
