Although it might seem impossible, Santa Eularia des Riu is the perfect spot to have a more relaxed atmosphere without completely forgetting that you’re still on Ibiza. Walk up the winding streets to reach the top of Puig de Missa hill, where the fortified church that used to offer refuge from pirates can still provide a relaxing vantage point to look over the crystalline sea. The popular markets of Es Canar and Sant Carles are reminiscent of the times when the area became a hippie mecca.

Santa Eularia is quiet for Ibiza, full of restaurants with a great harbour. There is no crazy strip or runs of bars giving it a laid back feel. The beach is long and sandy and usually the sea is calm. There are some excellent walks that can easily taken from town around the coast in both directions. Lots of good places to eat. I was there to celebrate a friend's landmark birthday, and we found a variety of good cuisine and some interesting places within easy walking distance. Quite quiet.
