The location is perfect (so close to the beach!) and the room was nice, especially the bathroom. Everything was very clean and the check in/out process was smooth. The staff was really friendly and helped with my GF/DF needs at breakfast in the morning.

It was clean, well located and had great facilities. Plenty of clean bathrooms. Good breakfast. Nice space to meditate or do yoga (the dome). The grass is well maintained and a nice touch was incense burning in the lawn in the mornings. The views from the dorm was awesome and the amount of light even inside the dorm was great.

Really nice hotel with friendly staff, secure parking and a great location. Fully deserves its four stars in my opinion. Seriously the best hotel breakfast I have ever had, well worth the cost especially if you are hungry!

Nice hotel in Getxo. Everything was clean and comfy. Staff was helpful. If you want to visit Bilbao but you don't want to overpay for a hotel or for parking, this is your place. Plenty of free parking space (September through May, in the summer months you have to pay for street parking). Train station is a 5 minute walk and you'll be in downtown Bilbao in less than 20 min. In addition, Getxo is a lovely beach town with many restaurants and bars.

This hotel is close to the Puente Colgante, a historic transporter bridge built by one of Eiffel's disciples in 1893. That was a bonus we weren't expecting. The hotel has a historic feel, its main entrance facing the pedestrian walk along the river rather than the street. Our room was very nice, with a balcony from which we could see both the river side with the bridge and the street side, with sidewalk escalators coming up the steep hill!

    I went to Sopelana to surf and didn't explore the town much.

    I went to Sopelana to surf and didn't explore the town much. It didn't seem like there was too much to the town anyways but it seems quaint and nice. It's right on the main metro line making it very easy to access from Bilbao. The beaches are very beautiful with unique rock formations and stunning views. When there are waves it is not really a swimming beach but they are great for surfing. Lots of rental options available. It's definitely a beautiful stop when exploring the Basque coast but could easily be a day trip from Bilbao.

    A great place just 40 minutes by metro from the center of Bilbao. I was really happy that I stayed in Sopelana and not Bilbao, 'cause seeing the ocean every day was a great pleasure. Also, Sopelana is a great place for surfing.

    Really a hidden gem within walking distance from a very nice beach and 20min by metro from centre of Bilbao The property is immaculate and the hosts Luis and Silvia were absolutely a bless. Luis gave us lots of detailed information about Sopelana and Bilbao: what is worth visiting , where to eat , How to get there, etc They even brought a box of local sweets for the children in the last evening.     It was such a lovely stay at Moana Eco Surf House. We liked all the activities hotel provided us such as Surfing lesson, Skateboard lessons (free), and also morning Yoga (free). They was really great. All teachers are so professional. We liked the skatepark downstairs and breakfast was also great! Thank you Ms. Arancia and everyone for all your kind help while we stayed there.

    The hotel and surrounding area is much nicer than the rooms. Close to two beaches with beautiful waves. Good breakfast selection including vegetarian and vegan options. Easily reachable from Bilbao via metro!
