Lovely town. We ate in some lovely restaurants. Garimbas in the fountain square and Correderos 55. Good day trip to Cadiz from here by bus. The tourist office is a shirt walk. Very picturesque with a fabulous church where we attended a wedding. Good hotels such as Casa Shelly and Hotel V. We stayed at El Cobijo which I totally recommend. Great trip.
One of the famous original White Villages. Authentic, old, condensed, very narrow streests not all accessible by car. Car park about 500 meters (near tourist office) loading and unloading of luggage possibe front door. basr ad restauranst within direct sight.
A beautiful town near the Atlantic coast which is a haven for "foodies". Has endless eating options and the town is a joy just to walk around and soak up the atmosphere. It has a castle (closed at the moment), old city walls, views out to Africa, a beautiful main square AND it's only 20 minutes by car from the beach.
This is a small "White Hill town" that is not on the main tourist circuit. It is a quaint little town and we got a good feel/vibe from the town. We found a tavern with outdoor seating at a highpoint in the town, which had a great view and a nice community feel in the afternoon before dinner time. Walking around town was fun, We had dinner on the town square which was lively. It was enjoyable watching the young people having a good time.
This is a wonderful, atmospheric small city with much to explore. If you are willing to walk and look and climb many steep streets you will find treasures. You could take several days to look around Vejer and the countryside to the east including the Cork Forest. It is also a quiet base from which to explore Cadiz, Baelo Claudia, Tarifa, Jerez and the Sherry Triangle. If we are ever lucky enough to return, surely we will stay in beautiful Vejer de la Frontera.
Lovely place full of life and history. Well preserved old city walls and intriguing ally ways. Sweetly decorated patios. Friendly people. Plenty of bars with great tapas. Loved the old castle, church and monuments.
Vejer de la Frontera
A true gem on the top of a beautiful hill in southern Spain. Las Palmeras del Califa is an exceptioanl boutique hotel, with lovely rooms, an amazing restaurant (that has a beautiful garden) serving delicious, Moroccan-inspired food and very nice staff. It was a surprise for me to find such a well-run hotel in a small village in rural Spain. I had a great time.
Vejer de la Frontera
We had a lovely time at Casa Encalada. The staff is very nice, we felt at home. The location is great, beautiful view, close to cafes and great restaurants. I wish we could have stayed longer. There is also a good store in the hotel, irresistible! Thank you, Ana, Carmen and Lorena for welcoming us.
Vejer de la Frontera
Very quaint and quiet boutique hotel set at the heart of Vejer de la frontera. Surrounded by great places to eat and historic walks through the town itself. The hotel itself was lovely, large and very clean comfortable rooms. The staff were so helpful and friendly.
Vejer de la Frontera
we hadn't got time to have breakfast so we don't know how it is. The location is perfect. We had to park the car a little bit far but it is normal in Vejer de la Frontera old town (5 mins walk).
The entire hotel is so full or character we cannot wait to go back. The reception staff are amazing and could not do enough for us. Breakfast was fantastic and the staff could not be more helpful.
We stayed in a confortable and spacious room outside the hotel area, very clean and nicely decorated, although a little noisy (a family with a baby and dog apparently lives in the same area).
The setting of the hotel is perfect. The view from our room of the old town with the Andalusian light was stunning. The reception staff were warm helpful and so likeable. We loved our stay.
Very nice hotel with a swimming pool. Most of the time we stayed in a room with a balcony, that was just superb. Private, with a nice view, really cozy and well equipped.
no hotel information in room. Light switch for bedside by entrance door. No hairdrier. nochest for clothes. Bathroom so small, and very difficult to enter and exit.
Vejer de la Frontera
The couple that run the hotel are lovely and the hotel it’s self and rooms are spacious and modern but still with that small town Spanish decor and styling.
It is a very nice and cozy spanish villa in the countryside with amazing view to the sea. We enjoyed our stay in that hotel very much.
The hotel is located in a beautiful countryside setting with rooms that offer nice garden view and place to sit outside as well
The hotel is very nice, decoration and lighting are excellent. It’s well located to visit the village center.
