This charming, rustic property is over 100 years old and offers bright, cozy rooms. La Aldea Encantada has a peaceful setting in the Riojilla Burgalesa region and features a restaurant. The establishment was located in 'old-time' Spanish hill countryside and was family run. It reminded me very much of Spain in Franco's years. The evening meal was home-cooking as was the breakfast.

Extraordinary hospitality from Angel. Apparently he was serving alone a lot of people, but he took care of inquiring twice about my swelling ankle and provided a bag of ice. Offered to open the beach umbrella. Also on arrival I was greater with a cereal bar and an orange juice. Amazing. On top of that, I was not in the VIP presidential suite but just sleeping in the dormitory, walking the camino de Santiago.

Set in Belorado, Hotel La Huella Del Camino features a restaurant, bar, garden, and free WiFi throughout the property. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. A fantastic guest house, with connected restaurant, on the Camino de Santiago trail just a little way from the main square in the centre of town. There is ample free parking available in an open space immediately to the side of the property, if perhaps a bit tricky to get to for the uninitiated. All the staff were ultra friendly and helpful. The bedrooms and bathrooms were wonderfully furnished / equipped and very clean. The available breakfast was a fixed selection for a reasonable price (6 EUR) and was served very efficiently. I do not hesitate to highly recommend this guest house to anyone for a short stay, whether walking the Camino or otherwise just passing through the region. Just one word of caution, however, for anyone arriving by car. Initially my SatNav took me down a one-way street that eventually became too narrow for me to get through. Luckily a resident warned me to go no further and I was able to reverse a little and then exit down a road to the side. I would, therefore, suggest parking the car where possible and then walking the short distance to the property in order to check out how best to drive to it, if necessary by asking at the Guest House reception for directions.
