Great location. Easy to walk to the old city, tapas area, lovely Goya museum is a few doors away. The doorway to the hotel is sandwiched between an exquisite cafe/cake shop. It is a treat to eat there. Comfortable room, basic, but great amenities. Nice sheets & towels.

The city is beautiful. The Cathedral: majestic. The problem: waaaay too much ilegal migrants. We had about two hours in the city and saw a couple of fights between magrebíes within 600mts. Not to mention the groups of subsaharan migrants making noise and misbehaving. The city (as the whole of Spain) has a real problem with this undesired migration issue. Controlled migration is good. This is madness.

We only had time to visit a couple of sights, the main cathedral was beautiful, although we were unable to read any information as it was all in Spanish. We also visit El Tubo the old town - loads of places to eat, drink, reasonably well priced. We also visited the aquarium - tricky to get to as we used the tram. We found a lovely restaurant near the aquarium called La Tagitelle - an Italian - it was magnificent inside, very authentic. There was also a fantastic patisserie shop in Calle Don Jamie - wow! So much choice. There is a very good bus service around town and a cheap tourist bus, to see the sights. Would loved to have spent more time there!

We know Spain fairly well but had never visited this city. We were very surprised. It's beautiful in the centre with Roman ruins, cathedrals and a fantastic nightlife with cafés; bars, great restaurants and tapas. Get along to see it if you can.

We stayed a week in Zaragoza, but I wished we stayed longer. Here are some positive sides of Zaragoza - 1) Compared to some other more chaotic cities in Spain, Zaragoza is clean, quiet, safe and orderly, with well-run public transit. The city workers power-wash the streets religiously every day and take out residential trash every day (no sacks of trash piling up on the streets!). Very clean everywhere. 2) The smaller towns/cities around Zaragoza - Huesca, Tudela, Calatayud are really beautiful. The mountains are not far and Europe's most northern desert (the Royal Badlands National Park) is also close. 3) The city is equidistant to Madrid and Barcelona on the high speed rail line, so easy to access. 1.5 hour train ride to either Madrid or Barcelona. 4) Everything is much cheaper here than in Madrid or Barcelona.

There is a lot to see in Zaragoza.

There is a lot to see in Zaragoza. Unbelievable as it seems, they only discovered a few years ago, Roman ruins including the port, the forum, Roman baths, and the theatre, all of which is available to see on one ticket and can be spread over a couple of days! There are also 2 churches in the main square worth visiting, the smaller of the two churches houses an incredible collection of medieval tapestries which will result in hours of gazing at their complexity and beauty. At the time of our visit, there was a very interesting Asiatic exhibition in the main square beside the Cathedral. There are also many small streets full of shops, restaurants and tapas bars to stroll about during your stay. An unexpected jewel of a city with lots to discover.

A beautiful city that doesn’t feel overrun by tourists and feels more authentic than the usual places like Madrid or Barcelona. A hidden gem on the high speed rail that makes it easy to get to and should be considered if you’re looking for something less touristy and expensive in Spain. Glad I checked it out for a few days and will be back.

The property was amazing, kept the real Spanish original feel, large garden and the dinning room and kitchen for breakfast was perfect. We felt this was a real find for our family, Cynthia who greeted us and looked after us was amazing and made my 8 year old girl stay absolutely fabulous. The food and drink was some of the best we have had in our 5 week stay in Spain this summer. It was our last night in Spain and didn’t expect to have such a loverly stay.
